Bravo DPM

I hope that you pariahs are happy as the pariahs that you are now since the government has agreed to drop the controversial phrase “kasta Paria” (“Pariah caste”) from the Form 5 Malay literature textbook Interlok, and replace it with “golongan yang sama” (“the same group”), Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced in the Dewan Rakyat this morning.

I really think that we need more intellectuals to become Ministers, maybe someone like Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who had been a practicing doctor and not just any Tom, Dick or Harry who will succumb to whatever demands of the people, pressure group or deviationists.

I would rather be dictated by a dictator any day than by a shitbrain who will give in to pressure.

What the hell do you mean by "golongan yang sama"? I am not a pariah and I don't want to be placed in the same group as the stinking pariahs.

This is really a good move. I am sure many people especially pariahs who felt angry about the true potrayal of who they really are, are happy about it. But I for one, am not pleased at all.

The other castes in India also looks down on pariahs there in India and even though the pariahs here are a millionaire, they are still looked down by the other castes in India.

You puto cannot admit to the lacking of your own caste, so how can you improve yourself when you deny the fact that most Indians here act like they are high and mighty in groups and will bully or rob someone else?

Only by admitting your bad traits will you be able to improve yourself. Denying what you are is not helping because you will remain what you are by denying what is really happening.

I seriously think that since Hindraf had sued the British government for the so called 'mistreatment' of the Indians here, the Malaysian government should seriously consider doing the same thing because they are the colonizers which had brought the fucking assholes here in the first place.

Next time, just let a Pariah be a Prime Minister since you are so keen on giving in to whatever demands that they have.

Thank you justice Mohd Zabidin

It was a good news indeed when Justice Mohd Zabidin Mohd Diah ruled on Wednesday that the items - a white toothbrush, a towel and a mineral water bottle - could be tendered as evidence in Anwar’s ongoing sodomy trial.

Anwar kept saying he is innocent but he doesn't act like someone who is innocent.

For me personally, if I am accused of a crime in which I did not commit, I will move heaven or hell to prove my innocent.

But, that is me. And Anwar is not me. Anwar is a person who is crazy about sex especially of the weird kind.

He does not want to swear on the Quran in the mosque. He does not want to give his DNA on a voluntary basis.

His lawyers kept postponing the Sodomy 2 case. He have loads of money which is proven when he went to and fro overseas to criticise Malaysia.

I think maybe he will ask America to come and liberate him by bombing Malaysia and putting him to be the 1st homo P.M. in a liberal Malaysia if he is found guilty of sodomising Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.

But why hasn't he gone to Mecca to pray in front of the Kaabah since the prayers of an innocent person wrongfully accused will be granted by Allah a.s.a.p.

I am amused by some of the comments by his supporter for the BN or UMNO supporters to watch their language as Allah is watching.

Tell that to Anwar Al Juburi because he seems to forget that when he's busy having sex with other men, Allah is watching him.

And in the hereafter, just remember that in Allah's court, our mouths will be sealed and all of our bodies can talk and reveal to Allah what had be done by them.

I bet Al Jub's dick will admit to it's doing his thing with the wrong hole.

Distribution of pornographic material

Way to go Anwar! You had done good by reporting to the police today about the pornography that had suddenly emerged.

Your supporters shouts of "Reforbasi" sounds so queer. As queer as you are, Anwar!

You had quickly retaliated that it was not you, though you seemed to have knowledge that the porn actor had quite a big stomach.

How come you can know about such things? Do you have psychic abilities that you had kept hidden from all of us that you can know about things you had not seen before?

Are you some kinda a ghost whisperer?

Maybe you can teach me how to do that? Because I sure want to know whether you are the "Male Y" found in the anus of your sodomy victim. My new found psychic abilities can help me a lot to determine that.

Meanwhile, the police will be investigating the report lodged by Anwar under Section 292 of the Penal Code for distribution of pornographic material, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said.

The police should investigate thoroughly and those responsible in a conspiracy to release and distribute the porno material should be jailed so that it will be an example to others who distribute illegal porn VCDs adn DVDs.

This Datuk T character should be investigated by the police to see whether he had been paid by anyone to distribute that porn in a bid to disturb the ongoing demand by the public for Anwar to submit his DNA.

This could be a conspiracy of the GAY KIND so that a queer character can be happy that he had succeeded in diverting the DNA issue!

English holds the key to achieving Vision 2020

English holds the key to achieving Vision 2020

AS a former teacher, headmaster, assistant supervisor of primary schools in Selangor, lecturer of English at Universiti Teknologi Mara (preparing students going to Australia on JPA scholarships) and having been in the field of education (1955-2003) I feel I have something to say regarding the importance of English.

I remember when I was the headmaster of SRK Sungei Besar near Sabak Bernam in 1966, a Malay parent came to register his child in the school .

I asked him to register his child in the school nearest to his home and he asked why I couldn’t admit his child in my school which was English medium then.

He seemed rather annoyed and remarked that if ministers could send their children to English schools, why couldn’t he? I had no answer.

I am astonished that academics and students from universities who should be open-minded and models of progress, examples for ordinary folk to follow, are adopting retrogressive attitudes and behaviour in opposing the use of English.

How can our nation go forward and achieve Vision 2020 when we can’t see beyond our noses? Please let us be more sensible and bold enough to face the challenges ahead. We are now in a globalised world.

If some of us are not proficient enough in the language, there are many avenues open to learn and master it.

I remember teaching English to teachers and elderly headmasters in adult education classes in the evenings in the Klang High School in in the early 60s.

I am sure the Education Ministry can restart such classes all over the country to help people to learn the language.

Indeed, there is a crying need for some of our top administrators to improve their English. It is pathetic to see officers fumbling and stumbling when making speeches or giving interviews.

I often wonder how our representatives conduct themselves when dealing with foreigners.

If China, Japan and even the proud French have accepted English as an important international language why can’t we.

G. JEYARAHMAN,
Klang.

This letter from a reader to the Opinion section in The Star is questioning parents the most relevant questions.

Don't be a petty minded person who will forsake the future of your children by denying them the ability to converse and write well in English because like it or not, English is the lingua-franca of the world today although we want to empower the Malay language.

Anwar is guilty of sodomy, period

Why would Anwar be so reluctant to give his DNA sample if he is innocent as he claimed to be?

Robbers, rapist, sodomisers, even kitten killers will make up sob stories to get away with their crime.

When you do the crime, prepare to do the time.

What is your views on this matter? Do you think he will run off overseas like RPK?

I am sick of this sodomite.

Improve on English or lose out in job market, undergrads told

PETALING JAYA: Local undergraduates should decide for themselves whether to heed the call to be more proficient in English, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said.

“It cannot be helped if the students do not wish to be helped,” he said.

Studies conducted by the ministry revealed that one of the causes of unemployment among local graduates was their poor command of English, he said.

Khaled was commenting on last month’s protest by Universiti Malaya students, who accused vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Ghauth Jasmon of sidelining Bahasa Malaysia when he gave a briefing which stressed on English as the way forward.

Dr Ghauth drew flak when he highlighted how English could enhance the students’ employment prospects.

Speaking to reporters after launching the Tertiary Institutions Entrepreneurship Programme at UM yesterday, Khaled said that public institutions of higher learning had been instructed to increase the number of credit hours in English, starting from the undergraduates’ first year in university.

“The aim is to help students to improve their command of English, especially in communication skills.

“We did not want to burden students by making it compulsory for them to pass the English paper as that would delay the graduation of some students,” he said.

During the launch, he announced that a National Higher Education Entrepreneurship Council would be set up to instil the entrepreneurship spirit among undergraduates through research and education.

On the call for him to resign by Gabungan Mahasiswa Islam Se-Malaysia (Gamis) president Ahmad Shukri Abdul Razak over the ruckus at the campus election in February, Khaled said it was inappropriate for him to intervene during the campaigning period.

“I am open to attending functions upon the invitation of students provided that there is no conflict of interest,” he said.

Khaled also denied any animosity between him and his deputy Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah who was perceived as being more lenient to the undergraduates.
