A variety of schemes to help deserving rakyat
THE Government should be lauded for implementing the Skim Amanah Rakyat (Sara 1Malaysia) which is targeted to benefit some 100,000 households.
It is open to households with a combined income of between RM500 and RM3,000.
The Government has set up a RM100mil fund to assist the low income households to participate in the new investment scheme, which was launched by our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The scheme aims at helping low income earners of below RM3,000 to invest and allow their money to grow in five years. It gives an option for those who qualify to pay cash or take up a loan of RM5,000 to participate in the scheme.
This noble initiative by the Government guarantees those who pay cash will get RM134 monthly or RM13,000 after five years. Those who take up the RM5,000 loan will have to pay RM84 a month and receive cash RM50 a month or RM5,000 in five years.
The scheme is managed by Permodalan Nasional Bhd and sister company Amanah Saham Nasional, and the scheme forms will be distributed from Jan 30.
This is one of the many schemes initiated by the Government to alleviate the rising cost of goods and services faced especially by the low income earners.
Other value-added schemes launched by the Government to help the poor recently were the Bantuan Rakyat 1Malaysia (BR1M), which makes a one-off payment of RM500 to those earning below RM3,000, Klinik 1Malaysia, Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia (KR1M), Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia (PR1M) and Kedai Ikan 1Malaysia, and goods and services at subsidised cost.
Sara 1Malaysia aims at increasing disposable income and encouraging saving among the lower income group earning below RM3,000.

If you can list down the contribution of Pakatan Rakyat leaders towards the betterment of the society and the poor, only then you can persuade me to support Pakatan Rakyat.
I doubt that you can do that though because things are not always what they seem.
Ape yg kerajaan buat bukan bantuan bodo, itu kewajipan..lagi satu pakatan rakyat nk tolong rakyat mcm mane, duit semua kerajaan Umno pegang.. Pastu tunjuk baek la konon bantu rakyat bagi bantuan 500 la, voucher 200 la..tapi minyak mahal, gula mahal, semua benda mahal, tu cekik darah rakyat xpe pulak..BODOH.
ReplyDeleteAh betul la tu. Kat India tu barang murah lagi. Aku 11.49 PM kenalah berhijrah dan menetap di sana. Barang kat sini semua mahal. Negeri di Pakatan Rakyat semuanya telah diturunkan harga barangnya, harga cukai tanahnya, harga cukai pintunya, harga tempat letak keretanya, semuanya dah jadi percuma.
