Death threats are now cliché

Ambiga gets death threat

KUALA LUMPUR: Bersih 2.0 chairperson Datuk S. Ambiga and several others received death threats prompting Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein to direct police to investigate the matter.

Hishammuddin said the ministry viewed the threat as serious and that he would personally ensure the police investigated the matter.

“I will be going to Bukit Aman after this and I will ensure that the police look into the SMS messages and where they originated to ensure it is not a real threat,” he told reporters at Parliament lobby yesterday.

The death threat received by Ambiga and several others via SMS warned them to stop their planned “Walk for Democracy” rally on July 9.

Ambiga, who received the SMS on Wednesday at about 9.30pm, said she was at home when the message came in.

“The SMS was a threat to kill me and anyone around me if I went ahead with the rally. The threat will not stop us from the planned rally,” she told reporters after lodging a police report at the Jalan Travers police station at about 1pm yesterday.

City CID Chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police were investigating the case under Section 507 of The Penal Code for criminal intimidation.

Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang described the threats as “shocking and outrageous”.

Meanwhile, Bar Council has thrown its support to all three parties intending to have the rallies on July 9.

Its president Lim Chee Wee said Umno Youth, Bersih and Perkasa have the right to advocate their views in public arena peacefully.

Separately, Padang Serai MP Gobalakrishnan claimed that Anwar had masterminded the rally to create chaos and to distract the public from other issues that implicated him.

Now, I think I had heard of that before. Let me think from where? Oh! Maybe it's this one.
Seems a little bit too familiar, doesn't it?

Anwar receives death threats, in hiding at Turkish embassy in KL

PUTRAJAYA - MALAYSIA'S opposition Parti Keadilan Raykat has moved its de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur after he had received death threats.

Mr Anwar said death threats had been made against him and that since Sunday he has taken refuge at the Turkish embassy in Kuala Lumpur on the invitation of the ambassador.

'I have been told that my assassination has not been ruled out as means to subvert the people's will and bring an end to the transformational changes taking place in Malaysia,' Mr Anwar said in a statement.

The threats come on the back of new sodomy allegations against Mr Anwar.

Mr Anwar was was sacked by former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad over similar allegations in 1998.

Federal CID director Comm Datuk Mohd Bakri Zinin said the police would conduct a thorough and fair investigation in the sodomy allegations.

They will also investigate the allegations before taking a statement from Mr Anwar, he said.

Earlier on Sunday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi reiterated that the Barisan Nasional Government was not behind the latest allegation of sodomy against Mr Anwar.

Stating that he was shocked on hearing the police report lodged by an aide of Mr Anwar on Saturday night, Mr Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said he would leave the police to conduct investigations on the allegations and to take the necessary action.

He said he or the Government did not instruct the police to take any action. On Mr Anwar's statement that the allegations were a complete fabrication to kill his political career, as in 1998 when he was sacked as Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Abdullah said the Government had nothing to do with the police report.

'We are not involved. Umno and Barisan Nasional did not plan to trouble, disturb or accuse him.

'I believe even my friends like Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib (Tun Razak) did not have any intention to do such a thing to him,' he told reporters here on Sunday after launching the Bumi Hijau programme.

Mr Abdullah said the alleged victim has the right to lodge a police report if it had really happened.

When asked if Mr Anwar would be arrested following the latest allegation, Mr Abdullah said he did not want to speculate on the matter and would leave the matter to the police.

Meanwhile the aide, who had started working at PKR about three months ago to help in the 12th general election, had lodged a police report alleging sodomy by the PKR leader at about 5.45pm on Saturday.

The man, in his 20s, is being treated at a hospital in Kuala Lumpur.

Mr Anwar called for an urgent press conference at 1.20am Sunday morning to deny the allegations.

In a statement read out by PKR vice-president Sivarasa Rasiah at a hotel in Shah Alam, he described the allegations as 'total fabrication'.

The statement, which was also faxed to media offices, said: 'The police report lodged against me today is a complete fabrication. I believe we are witnessing a repeat of the methods used against me in 1998 when false allegations were made under duress.'

Sources said police were waiting for the medical report from the hospital before proceeding with investigations.

They also said Mr Anwar was expected to be called up by the police to have his statement recorded.

DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang posted in his blog early on Sunday morning that he had spoken to Mr Anwar over the phone and 'he is expecting the worst.'

Mr Anwar and his adopted brother Mr Sukma Darmawan Sasmitaat Madja were found guilty by the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Aug 8, 2000 on the charge of sodomising Anwar's former family driver, Mr Azizan Abu Bakar, at Mr Sukma's apartment in Tivoli Villa, Bangsar, between January and March 1993.

Mr Anwar was sentenced to nine years' jail while Mr Sukma received six years and ordered to be given four strokes of the rotan. Mr Sukma was also convicted by the High Court on a charge of abetting Mr Anwar in the commission of the offence.

In 2003, the Court of Appeal dismissed their appeals.

Mr Anwar was first convicted for corruption on April 14, 1999 and was jailed for six years. He should have been released on April 14, 2003 after a one-third remission but had to start serving his sentence for the sodomy offence, which the court ordered to be served consecutively.

Now, Anwar Ibrahim is still alive and well until now. So, what does that proves?

He is a blatant liar and will cry wolf to gain sympathy from the public.

But too much of the wolf crying and no wolf ever came will make people think he is not genuine.

The Anwar - China Doll Saga

The saga started when on the 21st March 2011, Malaysia had been rocked by the exposé of the sex scandal alleged to be the opposition leader having sex with a woman believed to be a foreign prostitute.

The press representatives had been shown a 30 minute video clip. The video footage were shown in stages at Carcosa Seri Negara by a group of unknown people led by a man who introduced himself as Datuk T.

The video was taken a month earlier on the 21st February 2011, 10 p.m. purportedly at a hotel in Ampang.

Datuk T told members of the media to watch the video first before he sends a copy to the politician and his wife for them to identify the person in the video, a week from 21st March.

A day after the emergence of the sex video, Anwar Ibrahim went to the Dang Wangi district police headquarters with his wife, Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail to lodge a police report denying that he was the man in the video and the copies of the report had been distributed to the media.

"This is a humiliating, excessive and politically-motivated attack against my character and reputation and my family," he said in the report.

Two days after the tape had been revealed to the selected media representatives, Datuk 'T' revealed themselves to be the collective trio of Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tambi Chik and Datuk Shuib Lazim.

The breaking news is buzzing that the trio will be charged in court on the 24th of June 2011 for breaching the Film Censorhip Act by screening the video which showed a man resembling Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim having sex with a woman believed to be a foreign prostitute.

The trio if found guilty, will be fined at least RM10,000 or jailed for 5 years or both. This case is brought to court after the police investigated the report lodged by Anwar, who vehemently denied he was the man in the video and this is a plot by certain parties to denounce his credibility.

The police had verified the authenticity of the video and the indentity of the man in the video.

Domestic worker from Indon gives more problem to their employers

Indonesian maids surely helps working couples who have to leave their children at home when they go to work. However, most cases that we read in the newspapers potray the negative impact of the maids to their employers. It is much better for working couples to leave their kids at the nursery. Better if the employers could provide a nursery at the respective offices.

Indonesia had certainly been way out of line when they asked for the maid to be paid RM600 a month which is not worth it because they are uneducated unlike the Filipino maids, most of the times the maids lies about their true age which they make it to be older than they are, and they are so lazy that if their employer is not at home, they will not do any job but just sleep 24/7.

Some of the maid that arrive were said to have undergone some kind of training at the maid agencies but most are dumb and will destroy whatever electrical appliances of the employer.

For the maids that stay-at-home when both their employers are at work, they will take the opportunity to bring in their Bangla boyfriend home where they will have sex and have babies out of wedlock.

That's the case for the maid of the best friend of my mum. Not only that, the maid will be so cheeky that they will be lustful even towards the husband of the couple that hires her.

Not only that, many of them also run away from work after robbing their employers in a conspiracy with their respective maid agencies. We also don't know what kind of black magic they will bring with them because we know that in Indon, the Muslims there are quite weird as Christians can marry Muslims there.

We can't even trust the Muslim Indon maids. And don't ever let them cook your food because we never know what kind of dirty things they will put in there to make you stupid and for you to follow their every bidding.

Sure that not everyone is bad but the thing is that we don't know who is bad. It's better to be safe than sorry. In my lifetime, I had never met a good Indon maid. All are good pretenders who pretends to do work in front of their employers.

So, to those who have Indon maids, just install CCTVs all over your house. The things I mentioned above might seem too good to be true, but it's the reality of what had already happened to those who had already employed those Indon maids.

Malaysian employers need to pay agents up to RM8,000 for each maid and recover part of the cost by deducting money from the maid's salary, causing dissatisfaction, with some maids resorting to running away from their employers.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Don't forget that the maid are already living freely with the employer and don't have to pay for anything including the meals that they eat daily. This seems so unfair because the cost of living in the city for example for a single man/woman will cost a lot.

For example on a monthly basis, renting a room will cost RM500-RM450 (max) and food will cost another RM300. So, it will be fair if the ungrateful maid are also charged to pay for the room that they get and the food that they eat from the employers. Oh wait! That means that they have to work for free.

On the 31st May 2011, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). ending a two-year freeze on Indonesian maids working in Malaysia.

The Malay Mail dated 21st June 2011 reported that a total of 18,716 foreign maids ran away from their employers during the whole of 2010. 17,205 or 92.3% of them were from Indonesia.

Indonesian maids comprised of 76.7% of the total 247,069 foreign maid population in Malaysia as at December 2010.

On the 23rd of July 2011, The New Straits Times reported about the Customs Department detaining an Indonesian woman, in her 40s, smuggling RM1.4 million worth of syabu via the Penang International Airport. The two packets containing white crystalline powder, weighing about 5.78 kg that was hidden in a special compartment of the bags.

The Sun Daily reported about Indonesia barring workers to Saudi Arabia after an Indonesian maid was beheaded for murdering her Saudi employer.

The situation should be the other way round since the maid murdered her employer. An eye for an eye is the punishment in Islam so it is fair!

Reading about this news will surely raise your temperature. I bet this does not happen only in Kulai resort in Johor but all over the country where there are Indonesian caddies who provide sexual services to the rich Chinese golfers who are members of golf clubs or golf resorts.
