KUALA LUMPUR: The Auditor-General said today the audit it conducted was on the National Feedlot Centre project, and not the company National Feedlot Corporation Sdn Bhd (NFCorp).

In a statement released on its website, Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang also said nowhere in the report did it refer to the NFC as being "in a mess", adding that those words were used by other parties.

He also clarified that the audit analysis found that the objectives of the NFC were not fully realised due to several factors which have been explained in the Auditor-General's Report 2010. Among them, based on a implementation agreement signed in March 2010, the production target for NFC of 38,600 cattle for 2010 could not be achieved as the Entrepreneur Development Programme (EDP) which involves 130 satelite farm operators were yet to be implemented.

"If there are any elements of misappropriation in the implementation of the project, this should be revealed in the investigation of the authorities such as the Royal Malaysian Police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission," he said.

PUSAT FIDLOT NASIONAL

Ekoran laporan media mengenai beberapa isu yang menghubungkaitkan Jabatan Audit Negara (JAN) dengan projek fidlot di Gemas, Jabatan Audit Negara ingin memberi penjelasan seperti berikut:

2. Perkara yang menjadi fokus utama pengauditan prestasi yang dijalankan oleh JAN ialah pencapaian projek Pusat Fidlot Nasional (PFN) sejak penubuhannya pada tahun 2006 dan bukannya National Feedlot Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (NFCorp.) sebagai sebuah syarikat. NFCorp. adalah syarikat yang berdaftar di bawah Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia di mana Kementerian Kewangan Diperbadankan memegang satu golden share bernilai RM1.

Manakala modal berbayar berjumlah RM1.11 juta telah disumbangkan oleh Agroscience Industries Sdn. Bhd. Projek ini diaudit memandangkan ia penting dari segi pengeluaran makanan negara yang mana Kerajaan Malaysia telah memperuntukkan sejumlah wang yang besar berupa:

i) Peruntukan di bawah Kementerian Pertanian Dan Industri Asas Tani (KPIAT) berjumlah RM73.64 juta di bawah RMKe-9 bagi menampung kos pembangunan dan pengoperasian. Daripada peruntukan ini, sejumlah RM48.71 juta telah dibelanjakan setakat akhir tahun 2010 oleh KPIAT untuk menyediakan tapak seluas 5,000 ekar bagi projek ini. Kawasan ini kemudiannya dikurangkan kepada 2,000 ekar sahaja.

ii) Geran pelancaran untuk penyediaan infrastruktur berjumlah RM13 juta diluluskan kepada NFCorp. pada bulan September 2007 dan setakat akhir tahun 2010 sejumlah RM6.52 juta telah dibayar kepada NFCorp. untuk syarikat ini menyediakan infrastruktur seperti kandang dan jalan ladang.

iii) Pinjaman mudah (soft loan) juga telah diluluskan kepada NFCorp. yang berjumlah RM250 juta menerusi satu perjanjian pinjaman yang telah ditandatangani pada Disember 2007.

Setakat Mac 2010, sejumlah RM134.7 juta telah dikeluarkan kepada NFCorp. berdasarkan kepada tuntutan yang dibuat kepada Kementerian Kewangan.

3. Tujuan pengauditan dilaksanakan adalah untuk menilai sama ada projek PFN telah dirancang dan dilaksanakan dengan teratur dan berhemat serta mencapai objektif yang ditetapkan. Pengauditan ini
melibatkan semakan terhadap maklumat yang diperolehi daripada beberapa agensi Kerajaan seperti KPIAT, Kementerian Kewangan, Jabatan Perkhidmatan Veterinar dan juga daripada pegawai-pegawai NFCorp. semasa lawatan tapak dilakukan pada bulan Mac 2011. Berdasarkan analisis audit yang bersandarkan kepada maklumat tersebut, pemerhatian-pemerhatian audit telah dibuat secara bertulis untuk mendapatkan pengesahan dan maklum balas daripada pihak-pihak ini. Selain itu, perbincangan menerusi Exit Conference telah dibuat dengan wakil-wakil KPIAT sebagai Kementerian yang bertanggungjawab ke atas pelaksanaan projek ini sebelum laporan audit dimuktamadkan untuk dimuatkan ke dalam Laporan Ketua Audit Negara (LKAN) 2010.

4. Analisis audit mendapati objektif projek PFN masih belum dicapai sepenuhnya. Ini disebabkan berbagai faktor yang dihuraikan dalam LKAN 2010. Antaranya, mengikut perjanjian pelaksanaan yang ditandatangani pada bulan Mac 2010, sasaran pengeluaran PFN iaitu 38,600 ekor lembu untuk tahun 2010 belum dicapai kerana Entreprenuer Development Program (EDP) yang melibatkan 130 pengusaha ladang satelit belum dilaksanakan lagi.

5. Jika dibaca keseluruhan LKAN 2010 itu, tidak ada pun disebut perkataan-perkataan seperti kucar kacir, 'in a mess' atau pun penyelewengan. Perkataan-perkataan ini telah digunakan oleh pihak-pihak lain dan JAN tidak sepatutnya dipertanggungjawabkan. Pada pendapat JAN, sama ada terdapat unsur-unsur penyelewengan dalam pelaksanaan projek ini terpulanglah kepada penyiasatan pihak berkuasa seperti Polis Diraja Malaysia dan
Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia.

6. Pada perspektif audit, sememangnya terdapat beberapa kelemahan dalam pelaksanaan projek ini. Jikalau tidak, mengapa pada bulan Mei 2009 (sebelum pengauditan dijalankan), Kerajaan perlu menangguhkan pelaksanaan PFN sehingga satu kajian viability and business model (model perniagaan) dijalankan bagi projek ini?. Perkara ini ada dinyatakan dalam LKAN 2010. Ianya membayangkan Kerajaan Malaysia sememangnya sedar akan
kelemahan-kelemahan dalam pelaksanaan projek ini dan telah pun mengambil tindakan untuk menentukan hala tuju projek ini.

7. JAN ingin menjelaskan bahawa pengauditan terhadap projek PFN ini telah dibuat secara bebas dan profesional tanpa sebarang prejudis kepada mana-mana pihak. Sebarang kenyataan yang mempertikaikan kewibawaan dan integriti juruaudit JAN adalah dikesali.

NFCorp's Salleh wants Auditor-General to clarify

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp) said it was not the entity highlighted in the the Auditor-General's report.

Its chairman Datuk Mohamad Salleh Ismail, said there was a confusion between NFCorp and the National Feedlot Centre (NFC).

"It is the centre which is in a 'mess' and not the company I'm heading. My company is meeting the target," he said when contacted by the New Straits Times yesterday.

When asked why he had not clarified this earlier, Salleh said he had only realised that the two had been confused when investigations began on the centre and the company.

Salleh said he had written to Auditor-General's Department two weeks ago to highlight this matter.

"I hope they issue an official statement soon to clarify this.

"This matter has been going on for so long and various quarters have given their views, I just want this to be cleared."

Asked who owns the centre, Salleh said: "The centre is owned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry."

Earlier, Salleh, who is the husband to Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, had called for a meeting with Perkasa and 11 other NGO's to brief them on the NFCorp.

Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali said he was satisfied with the briefing given by Salleh and urged the Auditor-General to be fair to everyone by making a formal announcement on the matter.

He added that the Auditor-General's Department may have made a small mistake when preparing the national audit report as not all staff "were trained equally well".

"When they did the report, there were some elements that were accurate and some not so accurate because of weaknesses of the officers."

However, Ibrahim stressed that he was not taking sides and that he would leave it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the police to carry out a proper investigation into NFCorp's finances.

He added that Perkasa will stand by the results of the probe by authorities, pointing out that it was the group's responsibility to fight abuse of power and corruption.

On Friday, it was reported that, the Attorney-General's Chambers had returned the investigation papers on the NFCorp to the police.

In confirming the matter, its head of prosecution, Tun Abdul Majid Tun Hamzah, said it wanted the police to investigate the case further.

"The police had delivered the report to us on Tuesday, but we have since returned the papers," Majid had told the New Straits Times.

The police had, on Monday, completed their investigation after recording 54 statements, including those from NFC.

The controversy surrounding NFC started after the 2010 Auditor-General's Report described the project as "messy" and had failed to meet government targets.

NFC is the meat-valley project in Gemas, Negri Sembilan, aimed at increasing the production of meat and reducing dependency on import for such products.

The simplest way to say this is that this is a sabotage by the DAP or the foreign beef exporters to ensure the failure of the Farm Beef Valley because this is one of the way that the Muslims can do to ensure that the beef market can be penetrated by the Muslims.

Surely those infidels who have been in control of the market for such a long time is feeling the pressure when there is a competition from a Bumiputera company which will break their hold on the market.

Report lodged over attack at ABU talk

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 24, 2012): The Anything But Umno (ABU) movement lodged a police report today over an atack by a group of youth during a talk in Klang on Saturday.

The attack occured at the Shah Alam City Council hall at Jalan Kebun leaving a 33-year-old member of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) badly injured. Hindraf was the co-organiser of the event.

The attack was also captured on video by those present.

Solidariti Anak Muda Malaysia chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin, lodged the police report at noon at the Dang Wangi police station here.

He told reporters later that the police should investigate the incident and determine who were the culprits behind the attack.

Badrul Hisham, who is better known as Chegubard said members of the movement had spotted several of the attackers having a friendly chat with the police after the incident.

He claimed he had information that those behind the violence were Umno members.

"We are lodging the police report here because we have lost faith in Klang police who appeared to have done nothing to nab the attackers. We are confident the higher level in the police will look into this matter seriously. We are also taking this up with Suhakam today," he said.

Hindraf national coordinator W.Sambulingam said he was not shocked by the attack as his group had constantly faced such aggression from uniformed or plainclothes police personnel and other agent provocateurs.

"The video footages are evidence and the people can determine for themselves who are the aggressors when we hold such talks and gatherings. We do not condone violence." he added

Also present at the police station was ABU coordinator Haris Ibrahim and PSM secretary- general S Arutchelvan.

It is learnt that the report lodged by Badrul will be handed over to Selangor police for investigations.

The truth behind the story is that there was a provocation from Hindraf members during Maghrib prayers time where they were on purpose were making lots of noises and were flying Hindraf's flag.

This is actually just a challenge by Badrul Hisham who may have mala fide towards the police to bad mouth the police when he in a matter of fact was instigating the Hindraf members to provoke the kampung folks so that there will be a racial clash there.

Malaysia is an Islamic country not an Indian country so if you want to make a ruckus whenever the hell that you want, I suggest you get out of Malaysia and go back to INDIA.

We are better off without the KELINGS here making noises whenever you have your own festivities. Can you be like the Indians in India where they kill each other? It's better if you KELINGs kill each other.

Archaeologist defends Hang Tuah's existence

KUALA LUMPUR Jan 20 — An archaeologist today defended the existence of Hang Tuah, pointing out that although no specific studies had been done on the matter, he was convinced that the legendary warrior was not a mythical figure.

Malaysian Archaeologists Association president Prof Emeritus Datuk Dr Nik Hassan Shuhaimi Nik Abdul Rahman said studies concerning the warrior and his four peers could still proceed despite the views that Hang Tuah might be a mythical figure.

"I believe that he existed but we can”t be sure of the era; if we look at the Hang Tuah tales, he existed during the era of a sultanate. The name ”Hang” does indeed exist in the Malay world.

"However, further studies on his four peers (Hang Jebat, Hang Kasturi, Hang Lekir and Hang Lekiu) maybe needed. The name ”Hang” exists in Padang Lawas Sumatra, Indonesia.” He said that although there had been no specific studies carried out on the matter, indirect ones indicated that the warrior did indeed exist.

"And then there is also the Hang Tuan tomb. We can”t deny that it is not.

Although there is no specific name written on it, it is from the 15th century,” he told reporters at a convention on the Malay cultural roots here today.

Historian Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Khoo Kay Kim had previously said that Hang Tuah might be mythical and that there were no strong evidence to proof the warrior”s existence.

Dr Nik Hassan said DNA tests on the remains in the tomb might prove to be difficult due to religious sensitivities.

"This is a Muslim tomb. We don”t want to disturb this tomb because there may be sensitivities involved in terms of religion. We can perform tests on pre-historic findings,” he said.

I am unsure of whom to believe in the above rebutting statements but if you go and visit Malacca and search for historical [click here] places there, you will find it possible to find Hang Li Po well, the grave of Hang Tuah, the grave of Hang Jebat, the grave of Hang Kasturi and the grave of Tun Teja amongst other many historical places as well.

Therefore, how can one say that those figures are mythical figures and are not real? Futhermore, Hang Tuah is even mentioned in Sejarah Melayu although it was deemed 'Hikayat Hang Tuah' or the story of Hang Tuah.

So to conclude, I think I believe what I can see because I can see the well and the graves of the so-called mythical figure rather than what is being propogated by the good Prof because everybody will be opposing to something all the time even though there are proof of the existence of the said myths.

Reading about the news propogated by various Pakatan Rakyat sites lately made me conclude that the NFC scandal is created by DAP to degrade NFC and Datuk Seri Shahrizat.

It could be a pay back by Anwar Al Juburi too since she supported Tun Dr Mahathir's decision to sack him.

The National Feedlot Corporation (NFC) has today given two powerful reasons why there should be a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM300 million “cattle condo” scandal, focussing on the role and responsibility of Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin who was the Agriculture Minister who approved the RM250 million loan project before the “308” political tsunami.

The company declared today that its contract for its RM250 million loan from the government was signed in 2007, disputing the Public Accounts Committee’s (PAC) earlier claim that the company had received the sum before the contract was signed.

NFC said the loan agreement between the government represented by the Ministry of Finance and NFC was signed on December 6, 2007, and not in 2010 and that the first drawdown of RM7 million was in January 2008 “in compliance with proper procedure”.

It claimed that beginning this year, NFC “will start serving its loan repayment as stipulated in its loan agreement”.

The NFC statement, confirming that the decisive events of the “cattle condo” scandal, viz, the award of the NFC project on 27th October 2006, the signing of the RM250 million loan agreement with 2% interest on December 6, 2007 and the first drawdown of RM7 million in January 2008 all took place before the March 8 “political tsunami” when the Minister responsible was none other than Muhyiddin.

It provides powerful reason why there should be a Royal Commission of Inquiry into all the “horror stories” of the RM300 million NFC “cattle condo” scandal but also to focus on the role and responsibility of Muhyiddin as the Cabinet Minister who should personally and directly be responsible for the scandal.

Let the RCI answer the question: Who else apart from Muhyiddin should bear the full and final responsibility for the NFC “mess” where the objective of the project on cattle production to boost the nation’s beef self-sufficiency could go so wrong as NFC not only failed to meet this target, the RM250 million 2%-interest soft loan had been diverted not only to buy two luxury condominiums in Bangsar and a luxury condominium in Singapore but also for many other dubious transactions.

The NFC statement today also reminds Malaysians that the Public Accounts Committee has been acting in a most unusual manner, as apart from its initial meeting, it had failed to carry out full investigations into the “cattle condo” scandal to be able to present a report to Parliament when it meets on March 12 – although it is the No.1 scandal of the day!

Malaysians are entitled to know why the PAC is behaving in so tardy a fashion, giving the impression that the PAC is avoiding from coming to grips with the issue. Can PAC submit its report on the NFC scandal to Parliament by March 12?

Shahrizat sues PKR strategic director, Ampang MP for RM100mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil has filed a RM100mil defamation suit against PKR strategic director Mohd Rafizi Ramli and Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin over their allegations on the National Feedlot Corporation issue.

The suit was filed by Datuk Seri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah at the High Court here Thursday.

Don’t rule out Bersih 3.0

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 17, 2012): Do not discount the possibility of Bersih 3.0 if the government fails to implement "necessary" reforms ahead of the next general election, Bersih 2.0 chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenivasan said today.

Some 30,000 people took to the streets demanding clean and fair elections during the Bersih 2.0 rally on July 9 last year, despite a massive crackdown by the authorities.

The rally had prompted the setting up of a nine-man Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) for Electoral Reforms, chaired by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili.

Speaking at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall, Ambiga was responding to the PSC's interim report, which contained only four out of Bersih 2.0's 41 proposals for recommendation to be implemented by the Election Commission.

"To be fair, I think there is a part two to the report," she said, adding the EC should have no problem adopting all eight of Bersih 2.0's core demands.

The Election Commission had publicly committed to implementing three measures, namely the use of indelible ink, implement advance voting for service voters and engage Mimos Bhd to conduct an audit of the electoral roll.

"We have tried everything. We still believe in negotiations and that PSC can come up with its recommendations.

"But ultimately, if these recommendations are not implemented before the next general election, then do not rule out Bersih 3.0," Ambiga said.

Also present were National Laureate Tan Sri A. Samad Said (fondly known as Pak Samad) and Bar Council human rights committee chairman Andrew Khoo.

Pak Samad was earlier appointed as co-chairman of Bersih 2.0.

"Before this I was just a supporter of the cause. But now I feel it is my responsibility to fight for a clean and fair election, based on principles of democracy.

"The time has come for me to contribute to society and help to relieve Ambiga's burden," Pak Samad said.

It was also announced that Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia president Ahmad Shukri Razab has been appointed as Bersih 2.0 steering committee member, providing a space for increasing youth participation in campaigning for electoral reforms and democratic rights.

At the event, Bersih 2.0 also unveiled its Jom 100 campaign, which targets 100% voter turnout in the next general election.

Ambiga said a high voter turnout would send a strong message to all newly elected candidates and the future government, holding them accountable for its decisions.

Nazri: Use of indelible ink is proof of govt's commitment to ensure transparent GE

BESUT: The Election Commission's (EC) decision to adopt the proposed use of indelible ink in the 13th General Election is proof that the country's election process will be transparent, leaving no room for manipulation.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Aziz said the decision to use indelible ink was actually not required in Malaysia because every voter is registered and holds an identity card.

"It is different in countries where there are no updated voter registration lists, compared with Malaysia where all voters are registered," he said.

However, the government has agreed to fulfill the request from the opposition to use indelible ink since they (opposition) were constantly demanding for the method.

He said the government was committed to show that there would be no manipulation during the general election although such a move would cost an additional RM5 million.

However, claims that the indelible ink was not suitable for Muslims because it stays on the finger for at least 48 hours, would be studied, he said.

Pakatan Rakyat supporters and bloggers have been too quick in pointing out the faults of Barisan Nasional or UMNO leaders.

However, if their own leaders are better than BN or UMNO leaders, why can't any of you lists down whatever good deeds that have been done or provided to the people by Pakatan Rakyat leaders?

Now here's the chance to persuade me and others that Pakatan Rakyat leaders are much better leaders.

So, anyone who is a Pakatan Rakyat supporter or blogger that is bold enough to take up my challenge to lists down their leaders contributions?

A variety of schemes to help deserving rakyat
THE Government should be lauded for implementing the Skim Amanah Rakyat (Sara 1Malaysia) which is targeted to benefit some 100,000 households.
It is open to households with a combined income of between RM500 and RM3,000.
The Government has set up a RM100mil fund to assist the low income households to participate in the new investment scheme, which was launched by our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The scheme aims at helping low income earners of below RM3,000 to invest and allow their money to grow in five years. It gives an option for those who qualify to pay cash or take up a loan of RM5,000 to participate in the scheme.
This noble initiative by the Government guarantees those who pay cash will get RM134 monthly or RM13,000 after five years. Those who take up the RM5,000 loan will have to pay RM84 a month and receive cash RM50 a month or RM5,000 in five years.
The scheme is managed by Permodalan Nasional Bhd and sister company Amanah Saham Nasional, and the scheme forms will be distributed from Jan 30.
This is one of the many schemes initiated by the Government to alleviate the rising cost of goods and services faced especially by the low income earners.

Tiger killed after stalking women

KUALA KANGSAR: It was the scariest moment for mother and daughter as they came face to face with two tigers early yesterday.

However, Rohani Osman, 50, and Mastura Kamaruddin, 16, who were tapping rubber trees at Kampung Chuar Hulu, Kati, near here, kept their cool and decided to try an age-old method to ward off the tigers.

Remembering the advice of elderly folks that tigers would only attack humans from behind, the two women slowly walked backwards with the tigers following them menacingly.

They continued to walk backwards to the top of a hill, fervently praying to be rescued.

“However, the two tigers kept coming at us, growling and waiting for an opportunity to attack.

“I braced myself and threw stones but it did not work.”

Rohani then remembered that she had a handphone with her and called a relative for help.

After walking backwards for two hours, the women managed to climb up a tree. However, the tigers would not give up and waited below the tree.

At this juncture, Rela and Civil Defence Department personnel managed to track down the women.

“One of the tigers became aggressive and turned its attention on the rescuers.

Rela personnel fired three shots, killing one of the tigers while the other escaped into the jungle.

The women were then helped down from the tree and taken out of the jungle.

The carcass of the 70kg female tiger was handed over to the state Wildlife Department.

There is this person who had more than a decade ago in 1997 nearly caused Malaysia to be bankrupt and thus makes it easier for IMF to come and take over the economic control of our country who are now talking big as if he is a God send gift to Malaysia and will make Malaysia better than our current administration.

He was the same person that had been dismissed from his job as the Deputy Prime Minister for indulging in sodomy and also being corrupt.

His name is Anwar Ibrahim and his wife proclaimed that he is God sent.

A God sent person is someone who is patriotic and will defend his country from whatever external or internal forces who tries to jeopardise the national security of his beloved country.

Unlike this Anwar dude who had in every chance, did whatever thing possible to create internal chaos in Malaysia by instigating PR supporters to go to the countless illegal street demonstrations which could have easily been turned rowdy just like what happened in London a couple of months ago.

In the book by John Perkins titled "The Confessions of The Economic Hitman", he wrote the book based on his experience as a real life economic hitman who had been assigned to take over the countries in which he had divulged in the book.

Surely, Malaysia which had survived the take over by IMF by rejecting the loan from IMF to help the recovery of Malaysia's economy had come as a surprise to those who had been so sure of controlling Malaysia by using a puppet Prime Minister named Anwar Ibrahim.

Let's flashback to the empty promises made by PKR and PAS for the 2008 general election. I am sure to all those people who had been promised those things and had not received them, they are so pissed-off.

So, the above are the empty promises which had been given to sweeten the deal in order to take over Selangor from BN by PR. So, how much of those promised had been kept?

The Prime Minister had declined honourably to a debate with the most esteemed Anwar Ibrahim due to the fact that Anwar Ibrahim is a loser, someone who knows nothing about managing the economy of the states in which PR had won over, moreover about the economic condition of our country.

Shabery is someone who is out to make himself popular because no one in their right mind will ever debate with such a clever person who nearly sold Malaysia to the IMF due to his cleverness which made Malaysia plunged into the worst economic state in our history since our independance in 1957.

Therefore, Anwar Ibrahim should just be ignored because he had definitely proven himself to be a no brainer because surely someone with a brain will not lower his standard by accepting RM1 to be the financial advisor of Selangor. Congratulations Khalid because you got what you paid for.

I am sure that those who had been spending the government's money without getting the authorized permission by the government are actually the government servants who are actually Anwar's supporters who are out to blacken the name of the government by sabotaging the government on behalf of Anwar Ibrahim the traitor of Malaysia.

When this had been exposed, surely the government's name had been seriously damaged in the eyes of the people.

Therefore, I seriously urge Barisan Nasional to take stern action by calling in SPRM to investigate the person responsible in spending the money without getting the appropriate and authorized permission.

Barisan Nasional seriously have to clean up and fire them from their jobs for being a corrupt person just like Anwar had been corrupt. And that includes corrupt politicians and their cohorts.

ALTHOUGH there are upsides to being nice, such as being better liked by colleagues, the bottom line, according to recent studies, is that agreeableness is negatively related to income and earnings.

While this may seem illogical to some, it's now a proven fact that nice guys finish last on the pay scale.

Life coach Sharmini Hensen says this is especially true in the Malaysian workforce.

"Although the phenomenon appears to be cross cultural, it's more evident in Malaysia because being polite and a people pleaser have always been part of our upbringing and culture.

"However, being cordial and nice doesn't fit well in a corporation because in any situation or relationship, you need to articulate what you want and know how to get it. If you don't, you'll just end up being miserable and it'll show. Being a 'yes' man or'DBKL', picking up everyone else's rubbish, just doesn't cut it.

"Nice guys always try to save the day by taking on too much, causing other people to dump more tasks on them. Eventually, Mr Nice Guy gets overwhelmed and burnt out causing him to produce mediocre work. At the end of the day, he'll probably lose out on promotions and raises."

On the other hand, a worker who's able to say "no" or "no, not now" is someone most bosses want to work with, Hensen believes.

"Contradictory to what we were brought up to think, the majority of managers would rather pick an assertive worker over an obliging one.

"This is because managers know that these employees are focused and won't stand for nonsense, especially when dealing with vendors and other third parties. They demand to be treated right and paid for what they're worth."

Country manager of JobStreet.com Malaysia, Chook Yuh Yng, echoes her opinion.

"An office worker who's nice in terms of agreeableness to every issue without thinking of the outcome does not have traits that are desired by employers.

"Employees who tend to be overly agreeable may not be seen as good decision-makers or leaders. Their promotion is likely to be delayed until they dare to be more upfront."

It's the same with women. It does not pay to be nice.

"It's a known fact that nice women earn much less, they become doormats and blend into the furniture although they've been holding senior positions for many years.

"But women don't have the same benefits as men when attempting to be assertive. They tend to over communicate and get unnecessarily emotional.

"For women, the strategy should be a little different, the less you say the better otherwise you'll be labelled with the 'B' word and the effects are adverse," Hensen adds.

Clinical psychologist and human behaviour expert, Wendy Walsh, believes women need to master peaceable methods.

"At the end of the day, there needs to be social and emotional intelligence. Social intelligence means knowing when it is safe to be disagreeable. Women who stand up for themselves in the workplace tend not to be rewarded too much, they have to work their social skills in a peace making way.

"It's sexist but it's true that when women are more disagreeable, assertive and aggressive, they are called the 'B' word but men are called ambitious and tough when they have the same behaviours.

"The ability to disagree doesn't necessarily mean being rude, angry and abrasive, but it does mean being able to say to your boss, 'no, I deserve more'. And you can say it in a very polite way."

Hensen says it's a 21st century phenomenon to become incredibly selfish, which is not a bad trait.

"It's okay to be very selfish with your work in order to create results. Stop being a wuss and doormat, it never applied before and it surely doesn't apply today. We're in the leading edge of change and that kind of attitude doesn't make you leading edge material.

"However, be wise in balancing it out, sometimes you have to stand up and say 'no' while other times you need to be supportive and accommodating. But don't use these findings as an excuse to slide by and sail through your work day by doing as little as possible."

Although it may not be in some people's nature to be confrontational and disagreeable, Hensen says it helps to focus on your self worth.

"Notice even your smallest achievements and don't be embarrassed to talk about it. Bring it up during your appraisals and get the recognition you deserve. However, when a person has a certain level of esteem and strength, they also have dignity and class. State what you want and don't pester the bosses for it. If you feel that you're not getting due recognition, move on to the next opportunity with your dignity intact."

However, human resource consultant Peter Kanagaraj believes that in most Malaysian companies, one's chances of promotions and increments are heavily dependent on one's immediate supervisor.

"For instance, if you're a 'yes' man and your boss appreciates that, then you'll probably rise to the top quickly, but if he hates managing people who answer back and question his opinion, or feels that his job is threatened by your presence, your attitude will bite you.

"Also, company policies play an important role. Some organisations practise an open-door policy, which allows employees to approach higher management without having to go through their immediate supervisors. This gets them noticed even if their supervisors are not their biggest fan, opening more opportunities for advancement."

Kanagaraj says the scenario in Malaysia is different compared with other developed countries. In such countries, due to an abundance of competent persons, only the best secure employment and make it to the top.

Naughty or nice?

TWO years ago, a United Kingdom study into the link between personality and salary found that nice people are paid nearly STG1,500 (RM7,308) a year less than those who are more aggressive in the workplace.
Researchers for the Institute for Social and Economic Research at the University of Essex claim their study shows that the amiable are on average paid less.

Nearly 3,000 men aged between 24 and 64 living and working in the UK were grouped into five personality types, depending on their openness to experience, conscientiousness, level of extroversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.

Researchers Dr Cheti Nicoletti and Dr Alita Nandi, demonstrated that those who were nice earned approximately six per cent less.

Nicoletti said: "The results clearly show that agreeableness and neuroticism are penalised in the workplace while extroversion is rewarded. While it's penalised in the labour market, it may make a person more socially acceptable, increase their social networks and finally lead to better mental health and well-being."

A recent United States study proved that these findings stand true even to today. The study which looked at the link between personality and wages found that "agreeable" workers earn approximately US$10,000 (RM29,800) a year less than their mean colleagues.

The study, titled "Do nice guys - and gals -- really finish last?", examined levels of "agreeableness" attributed to different people and compared it with their pay.

Agreeableness was defined as a tendency towards warmth, kindness and cooperation with other people.

Men who were deemed to disagree the most made 18 per cent more than those seen to be more willing to agree.

Disagreeable women make five per cent more than women who are more willing to seek common ground.

Data was compiled over 20 years from three different surveys. As a further part of the research, 460 business students were asked to pretend to be managers reviewing descriptions of potential employees. Researchers found that those viewed as more agreeable were less likely to get the job.

Cornell professor, Beth Livingston, who authored the study with University of Notre Dame's Timothy Judge and Charlice Hurst of the University of Western Ontario, said managers are clearly rewarding nasty behaviour.

"Nice guys are getting the shaft. The problem is, many managers often don't realise they reward disagreeableness," she told the Wall Street Journal.

There can only be one PM in Malaysia

It's good to have a confident woman that knows what she wants and go through all lengths to get it. Though sometimes there have to be some boundaries and do not overstep limits.

I mean we do need to have good women to be role models. Surely a husband has his roles and a wife has her roles. Do not try to take over the roles.

Beating around the bush is never a good thing. When you have something to say, just say it.

So, I'm just going to say this. I think that UMNO is going down. And it's because of someone that most of the people don't like, and that same someone is someone most people in UMNO dislike as well. Though it's obvious the opposition don't like that person too.

Though maybe most of us won't mention that person by name, the person whose name should not be mention does exist and we know who that is.

If before this, the son in law was the true one administering the country with the father in law being his puppet, well now ... The general election 2008 was the results of people hating what was happening then.

You can't have your cake and it eat too. To cut to the chase, there can only be one Prime Minister in the country.

The people have to respect the Prime Minister. And if they felt he can't even control the mrs, do you think he's going to get the respect he deserve?

Too many cooks spoil the broth. It's the same as finding Anwar Al Jub's doppelganger and winning the luxury car offered by businessman Mr Zamil Ibrahim (I hope he's not related whatsoever to Anwar Ibrahim wal Juburi) to prove that there is someone out there who looks like that homo.

PAS is not strong in Kelantan

Awang Adek: PAS govt failed to resolve traffic woes in Kelantan

BACHOK: The Kelantan PAS government has failed to resolve traffic congestion woes despite the party being in power for over two decades, said Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussin.

Dr Awang Adek, who is also Kelantan Umno Liaison Committee deputy chairman, said the problems were obvious during the Hari Raya season when many returned to their hometowns.

He claimed that if the state government failed to arrive at a solution within the next 10 to 15 years, chances are that the traffic woes would never be solved.

“Through proper planning, Kuala Lumpur and the other states are able to ease traffic congestion. So, why can’t the Kelantan government do it?

“It has been 21 years and traffic congestion remains a problem in Kelantan. So, it is now up to the people whether to change the state government at the next general election or retain the current one,” he said here yesterday.

Most roads in the state are congested two or three days before and after Hari Raya.

Among the worst affected ones are those along Gua Musang to Kuala Krai, Kota Baru to Tumpat and Pasir Puteh to Kota Baru.

State Road Safety Department director Mohd Azlisham Abdul Rahman said the number of vehicles entering Kelantan during Raya had increased drastically from last year.

“An estimated 80,000 cars entered the state as compared to 60,000 previously,” he said.

Motorist Shariman Abdul Ghani, 38, who lives in Bukit Beruntung, Selangor, said it took him 12 hours to drive home to his village in Pasir Puteh during the festive period.

“We were frustrated as we had to endure a 20km long traffic jam all the way from Kuala Krai to Machang.”

Most of the UMNO leaders in Kelantan are complacent to stay where they are.

They don't have to work hard but they will still receive money from the government.

There should be a policy where if a state falls to the opposition, the federal government should freeze the money from being given to the UMNO leaders in that state until they won over that state from the opposition.

The leaders in Kelantan will not even hear any good ideas from the people at the grass root to improve the image of UMNO in Kelantan.

PAS is not strong in Kelantan. However, UMNO are worst because they are complacent.

And the leaders in Kelantan do not know how to take advantage to explain to the people about what Mat Sabu had done by saying that communists are the real heroes in Bukit Kepong.

Hishammudin Hussein is weak too. He is known as the warning minister and don't have any balls to take stern action against subversive elements in Malaysia. Most of the time, he looks more feminine than any women minister or senator.

H2O is a sissy and should have been administering the Women's Ministry together with Datuk Seri Shahrizat. At least Shahrizat has more balls than him.

Gay Malaysian pastor to tie the knot with his partner

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian self-confessed gay pastor is to marry his African-American partner soon.

Press reports stated that Rev Ou Yang Wen Feng (pic) was likely to wed the Broadway musical producer by the end of the month or early September with ceremonies planned in New York and Malaysia.

Religious teacher detained for sodomising student

KUALA TERENGGANU: A secondary school religious teacher here has been detained for suspected sodomy of a student in the school.

The teacher for Islamic Studies was held in his house at the teachers' quarters in Batu Rakit near here at about 4am.

State Crime Investigation Department head, ACP K Manoharan said the teacher's arrest followed a police report by a student aged 13 years at the Batu Rakit Police Station yesterday evening alleging sodomy by the teacher.

"The 42-year-old teacher is married and is believed to have carried out the dastardly act for three times from March to June at the school teacher's quarters which is beside the boys hostel where the victim is residing," he said when met at his office today.

According to Manoharan, police are still investigating the case and did not rule out the possibility that there maybe more students falling victims to the teacher.

The victim has been sent to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital to undergo medical examination.

Senior Session Court Registrar, Rosila Nik allowed the teacher to be remanded for four days beginning today for further investigation.

The case is being investigated under Section 377 C which carries a penalty jail term of not exceeding 20 years and caning.

They claim that their arrest on July 9 at 11.50am at KL Sentral was mala fide because on July 6, through a magistrate's court order, they were restricted from entering several locations in Kuala Lumpur on July 9, and that KL Sentral did not fall under that order.

They said they were not present anywhere in the restricted areas.

They claimed to have incurred losses, damage, inconvenience and injuries due to their arrest.

Mahfuz and Salahuddin are claiming general damages, exemplary compensation, cost and any relief deemed appropriate by the court.

'New media used to spread lies'

PUTRAJAYA: The opposition's use of new media has enabled them to instigate sections of society to participate even in unlawful activities that give them political mileage.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said this was particularly damaging as many of the issues propagated through this media channel were untrue.

Citing the illegal July 9 Bersih rally as a case in point, he said this happened despite it being clear from the start that the rally was not about pushing for free and fair elections but for the interests of parties riding on Bersih's name.

He said while the government had exhausted all its avenues to reach and explain to the people about the demonstration, it was not easy as the power hungry were willing to go the distance in pushing to attain power without going to elections.

Conceding that handling the run-up to the July 9 demonstration was difficult as the opposition had triumphed over the use of the new media, Hishammuddin said the ruling government must catch up on their use of the medium.

"I must admit that they are better than us and we need to get our act together in using the new media."

"It couldn't be clearer that there are quarters who would not hesitate to seize any opportunity and compromise everything for their narrow political ambitions.

"We knew that there may have been other groups that might have used Bersih as a platform to cause even more upheavals," he said.

Touching on police action on the day the streets of Kuala Lumpur came to a stand-still, he said the police were very restrained on July 9, despite their standard operating procedure, which allowed them to take sterner action.

On the repercussions and lessons to be learned by those arrested and released by the police every time street demonstrations are held, he said those taken in by the police would have their particulars recorded in the police system.

He said while focus was given to those behind such events, the police were not going to pick and choose demonstrators in the middle of chaos.

"What we have in Malaysia, most people outside would look at it as something that we should cherish ... Unfortunately, there are people in Malaysia, who do not appreciate what we have.

"They go the extra mile to get attention, but sometimes, when they do so, there may be a cost to it as seen in many cases. A democracy with a single racial composition will not have this problem, but in a multiracial country like ours, our leaders must be very careful."

Hishammuddin said the police were also looking at best practices in the new social landscape.

This, he said included the amendments to the country's preventive laws, the Police Acts, particularly on peaceful assemblies, as well as the use of biometrics in addressing the issues raised by the opposition on phantom voters.

Sodomy II: Two witnesses refuse to be interviewed in Anwar’s presence

KUALA LUMPUR: The two witnesses, who turned up at the court Tuesday morning to be interviewed by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's defence team, chose not to be interviewed in Anwar's presence.

Banting murders: Suspect tells court cops tortured him, pinched his genitals

SHAH ALAM: An accused in the murder trial of cosmetics millionaire Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya and three others claimed that he was physically tortured, including being held at gunpoint and threatened with death, the High Court heard.

Farm hand T. Thilaiyalagan, 20, said that Chief Inspector N. Govindan had put a gun in his mouth and forced him to admit murdering four people.

"I did not admit (to the murders)," he said here Monday.

Thilaiyalagan further claimed he was forced to follow Chief Insp Govindan, the interrogating officer, to a river.

Chief Insp Govindan allegedly said "If you don't follow me, I'll shoot" to the farm hand.

Thilaiyalagan is the first witness testifying in a second trial-within-a-trial to determine his state of mind when he gave a statement to the police that led to the discovery of items in the case.

He had earlier alleged being oppressed into giving the statement and Justice Akhtar Tahir allowed the trial-within-a-trial as applied by the defence.

During an examination-in-chief by his lawyer Gurbachan Singh, Thilaiyalagan said the police kicked and pinched his genitals several times.

The torture, he claimed, took place during an interrogation at a lockup in IPD Gombak on Sept 11, last year.

He was arrested three days before (Sept 9, 2010) at a farm in Tanjung Sepat where he worked.

He also claimed that he saw two other accused, R. Matan, 21, and R. Kathavarayan, 31, bleeding as a result of being beaten by the police.

Thilaiyalagan, Matan and Kathavarayan, along with former lawyer N. Pathmanabhan, 42, claimed trial to the murders of Sosilawati, 47, her driver Kamaruddin Shamsuddin, 44, bank officer Noorhisham Mohammad, 38, and Ahmad Kamil, 32.

Hearing continues Tuesday.

Didalam memuji keluhan yang dilahirkan oleh as-sahibus Samahah mantan Mufti Perlis dalam hal pengagihan zakat yang menjerumus kepada pengemisan beberapa orang ibu tunggal ke pihak gereja, kesalan saya pula ialah yang berikut: Pendirian Tuan sangat playsafe, ambigous dan tidak mempunyai "Ooomph" yang cukup, yang sabit dengan kedudukan Tuan sebagai ulamak yang disanjung ramai.

Dalam menangani hal yang sangat runcing ini pun, kenyataan Tuan, yang walaupun zahirnya neutral, sebenarnya sangat berbau politik. Tuan masih juga mahu konar sana sini dalam memandu isu ini seolah-olah Tuan mahu juga menyabitkan UMNO dan kerajaan sebagai yang bersalah. Ya, isu pengagihan zakat memang perlu dikaji secara terperinci. Dan ya, kalaulah tidak kerana pendedahan masalah ibu tunggal ini, kita mungkin tidak mempersoalkan pengagihan zakat. Tetapi Tuan gagal (atau sengaja menggagalkan) untuk melihat bahawa walaupun itu mungkin punca yang sekunder, tidak siapa tahu bahawa ianya menjerumus kepada apa yang terjadi sekarang.

Apa yang menjadi MASAALAH primer atau yang unggul sekarang bukannya itu: MASAALAH yang benar-benar tegar yang menjadi batu penghalang kepada kemajuan untuk meyelesaikan masaalah ini ialah polisi PAS dan orang-orang Islam yang, demi membenci kerajaannya sendiri, sanggup untuk tidak mencemuh pihak gereja. Demi perpaduan dengan kafir harbi yang mungkin boleh menjanjikan segelintir-dua undi, PAS sangup untuk menjaga hati mereka. Sanggup untuk memarahi Hassan Ali. Sanggup bersekongkol dangan pihak kerajaan PKR dalam MENUTUP MULUT supaya hal ini tidak tersebar lua. Bukankah biasanya hal-hal tutup mulut ini adalah apabila sesuatu benda yang benar berlaku?

Bersekongkol juga kah yang Mulia as-Sahibus Samahah dengan pendirian ini? Sedikit pun tidak Tuan kritik pihak gereja. Sedikit pun tidak Tuan puji hasil usaha pihak JAIS membongkar usaha pemurtadan ini. Malahan kalau tersilap baca, akan dapat dianggarkan bahawa bukan saja Tuan tidak memuji, malahan mereka turut Tuan marahi juga. Maka terkontang-kantinglah Dr Hassan Ali serta JAIS dalam hal ini, seolah-olah dalam hal-hal menjaga Akidah Islam, kita hanya bergantung kepada mereka dan Tuan tidak ada langsung dalam gambaran. Nak harapkan siapa lagi? Khalid Samad? Nama Allah dijualnya, Kilang Carlsberg diresmikannya? Padahal sebelum berkuasa dahulu, untuk menegakkan syiar ugamalah yang menjadi slogan pencalonannya. Ada Tuan bising kerana dengan pengambilan tampok pemerintahan, lesen arak, lesen judi dan lesen menubuh rumah urut ternaik 2-3 kali ganda di Selangor?

Saya perhatikan Tuan sangat "playsafe" dalam segala isu politik-ugama, terutama sekali jika isu itu terjatuh kedalam kategori yang sangat rumit ... yakni jika ianya sesuatu yang perlu di juangkan oleh pihak Islam tetapi didapati tidak disenangi oleh kumpulan kafir dalam Pakatan Rakyat dan sebaliknya dijuangkan oleh pihak UMNO pula. Contohnya isu Bersih. Dan Isu Yoga. Dan Isu tarian Poco-poco. Bingung kami semua membaca pendirian Tuan. Dah terang-terangan Yoga itu ada yang terdapat memerlukan pengamalnya membaca beberapa mantra tertentu, masih juga Tuan mahu konar sana sini. Tuan mahu me-neutralisekan diri Tuan. Tuan mahu dikasihi oleh semua orang, terutama sekali oleh mereka-mereka yang membenci Islam. Tuan mahu dilutekan hujjah haram-halal bagi memberi ruang kepada mereka-mereka yang pro untuk berada dalam satu denominator yang sama dengan yang con. Orang macam Tuanlah yang akan dicari oleh Marina Mahathir, Sisters-in-Islam dan lain lain yang sentiasa mencari dan mempelopori idea-idea yang sangat bertentangan dengan Islam. Pernah Tuan tegur Marina Mahathir? Pernah Tuan cuba memperbetulkan ahli-ahli Sisters-in-Islam yang terang-terangan mencabar perintah Allah SWT? Pernah?

Yang pernah saya baca dan yang selalu Tuan buat hanyalah mengkritik JAIS. Atau Badan ugama kerajaan. Atau UMNO. Saya syak ini semua adalah kerana mereka-mereka ini semua terdiri dari pengunjung sekolah-sekolah pondok atau tempat pengajian kelasik seperti Mesir dan timur tengah dan Tuan berasa terdapat sedikit kelebihan superior dalam ijazah PhD Tuan dalam agama. Jadi Tuan mahu menampilkan idea seorang PhD yang kononnya terkeluar dari skop pemikiran sempit yang dipunyai kebanyakkan pelajar Islam secara kelasik yang lain.. Adakah mungkin kerana semua ini? Secara subliminal, secara halus dan tidak disedari, ini semua menjadi musabbab kepada kenapa Tuan berkelakuan dan berpendapat seolah-olah tidak mahu langsung bersama-sama mereka yang cuba mempertahankan akidah Islam. Adakah mungkin benar terkaan saya ini?

Tuan disanjung tinggi oleh Marian Mahathir. Tahu kah Tuan secara terperinci akidah beliau? Tuan menjadi reference kepada Syed Akbar Ali yang, menurut Haris Ibrahim, menganggap Kaabah itu sebagai satu batu sembahan yang tidak ubah seperti penyembahan Sanam oleh pihak Jahiliyyah. Adakah ini orang-orang yang menjadi sahabat Tuan? Adakah untuk menjaga hati orang-orang yang begini maka sanggup Tuan "disown" JAIS dan badan ugama lain? Mahu sangatkah Tuan dipuji oleh Teresa Kok atau Ronnie Liu atau pihak Gereja dengan harga mencemuh kumpulan dan jabatan Islam sendiri?

Pernah Omar Khayyam mengeluh dan bersya'ir sedemikian:

Even though that article is from The Malaysian Insider which is a tool of the opposition and hated by pro government supporters, the issues brought up by Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin is the truth about the reality that is going on at the zakat (alms) administration which are so difficult in giving alms to the needy.

We can read it in newspapers about how the poor and the needy complaint about how the person who has the power is making things difficult for them to get the alms.

I am quite perplexed when I read about the distribution of the alms for 2010 here.

The collection for 2010 increased 20% from the previous year (2009). In 2009, MAIS (Lembaga Zakat Selangor) collected the property alms amounting to RM267.1 in comparison to RM319.5 in 2010.

In 2010, MAIS via LZS had distributed the alms amounting to RM330 in comparison to RM279.2 in 2009.

How is it possible that the distribution is more than the collection? There seems to be a deficit in the collection when the distribution is more than the collection.

Is there something wrong with the report? Has the report been tampered with to cover up holes in which maybe someone had stolen the money? I am not accusing anyone. Merely asking because even the most pious of people will be corrupted when they are facing with a huge sum of money.

Can someone from Lembaga Zakat Selangor give an explanation on this?

That is why I think if Muslims feared that their alms is not being given to the needy as they are supposed to, maybe they should give it to them directly by giving it to the poor or to the orphanage houses.

Beberapa kurun yang lalu, saya berpeluang untuk meninjau secara haram (yakni tanpa pengetahuan pihak atasan) akan senarai akaun pungutan zakat di sebuah pertubuhan masyarakat Islam yang memperincikan semua pungutan zakat bagi tahun itu serta pengagihannya seklai. Saya sangat terperanjat melihatkan betapa banyak pungutan tersebut hingga menyentuh ratusan ribu pound sterling (ianya sebuah pertubuhan Islam Malaysia di London dan kebanyakkan pungutannya hanya tertumpu kepada pembayar zakat bangsa Malaysia di sana sahaja.)

Walaubagaimanpun, saya menerima renjatan elektrik kedua apabila saya amati secara halus pengagihan wang zakat tersebut. Memang benar: kesemua lapan asnab yang dibolehkan menerima wang itu memang terdapat di sana: si fakir miskin, si muallaf, si amil, si riqab - semuanya ada di sana. Tetapi apa yang mengejutkan saya ialah pengagihannya: yang kurang lebih berbunyi begini:-
Fakir - 4%
Miskin - 5%
Anak Yatim - 3%
Muallaf - 1%
dan sebagainya. Dan akhir sekali didalam senarai itu terdapat yang ini:-

Fi Sabilillah - 80% !!

Bila ditanya apanya yang dibiayai wang zakat sampai 80% itu --- adakah umat Islam sekarang sedang berperang? Atau sedang menghantar gerombolan-gerombolan mensyiarkan Islam ke merata dunia? Maka di jawab kepada saya: Fi Sabi lillah itu bukan hanya bermaksud itu. Ianya juga untuk membeli apa-apa benda untuk kegunaan umum umat Islam, dan dalam hal ini, sambungnya lagi, wang 80% itu digunakan untuk membeli kipas angin, karpet mesjid, alat pemanas, air condition dan sebagainya.

Saya menggeleng kepala. Patutlah umat Islam sekarang ini menghadapi pelbagai kemelut dan musibah. Oleh kerana longgarnya penafsiran "Fi Sabi Lillah" itu, maka ianya terbuka kepada segala jenis interpretasi. Apatah lagi dizaman Internet canggih dan kereta laju, erti fi sabi lillah itu mungkin boleh diperluaskan kepada kemahuan, kehendak serta tekanan menyahut gaya hidup zaman moden kita. Tetapi yang pastinya ialah, erti dan tujuan asal kalimat Fi Sabi Lillah itu sendiri sebagaimana yang difahami oleh Rasulullah SAW serta para sahabat baginda, sangatlah jauh daripada apa yang kita fahami sekarang. Jangan terkejut jika Fi Sabi Lillah juga, mengikut mufassirin dunia kita dewasa ini, merangkumi pembelian saham, hartanah, bangunan-bangunan tinggi, kemewahan dan sebagainya. Apabila saya melawat sebuah Pusat Pungutan Zakat di ibukota untuk membayar zakat, saya musykil melihatkan beberapa buah kereta mewah buatan Jerman yang besar dan menjalar berada di petak parkir pengarah-pengarahnya. "Ah...", bisik hati saya yang sudah terlatih untuk bersangka baik ini. "Tidak mungkin ini semua dari wang zakat. Siapa kata seorang pengarah tidak boleh menabung sejak kecil untuk membeli kereta Jerman yang panjang menjalar?"

Betul juga kat Dr Asri ulamak tersohor mantan Mufti Perlis itu. Di mana perginya wang zakat kita sehingga untuk membantu ibu-ibu tunggal dan golongan miskin, terpaksa mengemis kepada sang Kafir Kitabi dan menggadai maruah? Saya ada dengar seorang individu dari negeri pantai Timur yang punyalah Allah SWT telah beri rezqi, wang zakat yang dibayarnya seorang sahaja adalah lebih RM2 juta setahun. Agaknya, dengan 100 orang ibu tunggal yang sanggup menjual tauhidnya dari Yang Esa kepada Yang Tiga dengan harga semurah RM20 ribu itu, pembayar zakat yang seorang ini pun sudah memadai untuk menyelesaikan masaalah mereka. Itu belum diambil kira semua pencarum zakat yang lain. Belum lagi diambil kira umat-umat Islam lain yang liat dan engkar untuk membayar zakat yang wajib. Adalah tidak keterlaluan jika saya katakan di sini dengan jumlah zakat yang berpotensi terkumpul, mampu kita membeli sebuah negara!

Tetapi persoalannya---mana perginya? Ke mana perginya semua wang zakat itu, sehinggakan untuk mempertahankan akidah umatnya sendiripun tidak mampu? Kemudian saya pikirkan: adakah tujuan zakat itu untuk menghapuskan kemiskinan, atau untuk mengekalkannya? Tidakkah kita terbaca bagaimana suatu waktu pada zaman Omar al-Khattab, ekonomi umat Islam ketika itu punyalah kukuh sehinggakan bila tiba waktu pengagihan zakat, si Amil mengeluh kerana tidak terjumpa fakir dan miskin yang layak menerima zakat kerana mereka sudah tidak termasuk ke dalam golongan itu lagi?
Kita sekarang tidak. Tahun ini kita bangga kerana dapat mengagihkan zakat kepada orang miskin. Maka dapatlah mereka ini membeli baju raya untuk tahun ini atau membeli sekampit beras untuk kegunaan 2-3 bulan. Habis, tahun hadapan bagaimana? Mereka masih miskin lagi. Perlukah kita terus berbangga kerana masih ada golongan yang akan menerima zakat kita tahun hadapan, dan tahun-tahun seterusnya?
Kenapa kita tidak ada program untuk betul-betul eradicate kemisikinan untuk fakir-fakir miskin ini? Mulakan dengan ibu tunggal. Punyalah mereka ini berpotensi untuk membuat perkara-perkara seperti berniaga, menjadi jaringan franchise, menjadi usahawan, menjadi pelatih dan sebagainya. Kenapa tidak kita beri modal dan semangat untuk mereka memperbaiki keadaan mereka?
Ini tidak. Kalau muka lawa sikit, jadi GRO, atau jadi Tukang Urut batin yang sudah pastinya menjamin pendapatan hingga 4-5 ribu sebulan. Begitu juga dengan pengemis-pengemis---samada yang tulin atau yang menyamar. Kepungkan mereka ini dalam sebuah rumah kebajikan dan latih mereka menghasilkan kraf tangan atau barangan buatan, jahitan atau sulaman yang boleh dijual. Tak perlu lagi ada sindiket "hantar dan pungut" dengan Van yang menyakitkan mata dan hati, siap dengan peralatan canggih Keyboards Synthesizer dan Amplifier untuk S. Jibeng-S. Jibeng segera ini mendayu nasib. Semuanya kerana kita tidak ada program untuk mengagihkan zakat selain dari mengikut ungkapan "Fi Sabi Lillah" yang sangat samar dan dipersoalkan.

Nigerian drug mule enroute to Malaysia dies on plane

NEW DELHI: A Nigerian drug trafficker on his way to Malaysia to deliver the contraband died aboard a plane on Tuesday, after the drug-filled packets he swallowed burst in his stomach.

The Lagos-based Daily Sun newspaper reported today that Chilaka Ogbonna Emmanuel, 25, died onboard a Qatar Airways flight enroute to Malaysia via Doha.

"When he developed complications from the ingested drugs, the crew tried to assist him.

"But when his condition deteriorated, the airplane was forced to make an emergency landing in India to give him proper medical assistance," reported the newspaper.

According to the daily, the suspect was confirmed dead in a hospital in Mumbai.

Nigeria's National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) spokesman Jarikre Ofoyeju said a post-mortem revealed Emmanuel had ingested narcotics and his death was due to complications.

But Nigerian authorities did not reveal the quantity or type of drugs the deceased was attempting to smuggle to Malaysia.

Every action has its consequences. When you are in jail for being foolish enough to be a drug mule, don't go crying to the government because you are the one who did it.

Ministry gets ready to receive first of asylum seekers

PUTRAJAYA: The first batch of asylum seekers under the refugee swap agreement between Malaysia and Australia is expected to arrive here early next week.

Although no exact date has been announced, officials at the Home Ministry are said to be making preparations to receive them.

However, it could not be confirmed how many refugees would be in the first batch.

A ministry official said that upon arrival, the refugees would be temporarily placed at a centre about 100km from Kuala Lumpur.

“The centre is a former resort,” the official said.

“The refugees will be housed there for up to 45 days where they will then be screened by the UNHCR to determine their status,” he added.

The selection of the former resort as the centre was agreed by both governments.

In Melbourne, Australia, the group that was due to be sent to Malaysia were said to be on hunger strike.

A refugees advocate movement said the group arrived on Christmas Island on Thursday.

The group includes 18 minors or people claiming to be minors. Up to 14 of them are unaccompanied.

Refugee Action Coalition spokesman Ian Rintoul claimed that the movement received a distress call from one of the asylum seekers on Friday.

“The short call said: We are in a bad way; we need help. We are starting a hunger strike',” Rintoul was quoted by the Australian Associated Press as saying.

He called on the Australian Government to give the group access to lawyers.

“The asylum seekers have committed no crime but are effectively being held incommunicado,” Rintoul said.

Review teaching of English in schools: DPM

SEGAMAT: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has ordered the English Language Curriculum Division to have a relook at the learning of the language in schools to ensure students can master it as a second language.

Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister, said he had directed Education director-general Datuk Abdul Ghafar Mahmud to carry out a review on the learning of English Language in school.

"How the national education system involving 13 years, with five years of secondary school, is still unable to provide our students with a good grasp of the English Language, I, myself, am incapable of answering," he said in his speech during a visit to SMK Felda Maokil, Labis here today.

Muhyiddin said the review might determine if the weakness was due to a shortage of English Language teachers, equipment or due to other causes.

He said mastery of the English Language was important because it was the main language in international communication and the economy.

He also rejected the perception that implementing the 'Uphold Bahasa Melayu, Strengthen the English Language' policy had resulted in the Education Ministry neglecting the English Language.

Muhyiddin also said the ministry had carried out a comprehensive survey of the nation's educational infrastructure, in its effort to provide the infrastructural need of schools.

He said, although his ministry had received a development allocation of between RM5 billion and RM6 billion, the amount was not enough because of the large number of schools in the country and the rapid population growth which required the constructions of new schools. -- Bernama

No need to review. Just do it like before where there is an English medium.

The new policy is stupid because the lingua franca is still the English language.

If you want the students to remain stupid, then Muhyiddin should definitely continue with the current policy which had replaced PPSMI.

Snatch thief pays the price for preying on policewoman

KUALA TERENGGANU: A snatch thief who preyed on someone he thought was an easy target got a fist to his face from a policewoman instead.

The victim, who is a Lance Corporal, was riding her motorcycle at the Sultan Omar roundabout at 5.30pm on Thursday when the suspect, on another motorcycle, snatched her gold bracelet.

The suspect tried to escape but the victim gave chase and managed to punch the suspect in the face before forcing him to lose control of his motorcycle and crash into a divider some 5km from the crime scene.

The policewoman managed to recover her bracelet along with items stolen from other victims but the suspect ran off.

Terengganu CID chief Asst Comm K. Manoharan said the policewoman, who is attached with the state Narcotics Unit, called for help and managed to track down the suspect with the help of other police personnel.

“They managed to apprehend the suspect in a housing area near the city some 30 minutes after the incident.

“The 26-year-old suspect tested positive for drugs,” he said.

ACP Manoharan commended the policewoman's actions in courageously chasing after and eventually nabbing the suspect.

“The suspect thought he could get away easy after robbing a defenceless woman but I think he got the surprise of his life.

“It is really his bad luck that he chose a policewoman to rob,” he said.

He added that initial investigations revealed that the suspect was involved in multiple other snatch thefts in the city.

“The suspect has been remanded until Sunday,” he said.

When there is a will, there is a way

TWO months before retiree Madam Wong (not her real name) underwent a major operation, she transferred the ownership of her double-storey house to her son, in the hope that her property would remain within the family should anything happen to her.

The surgery was successful and the 75-year-old returned to her home where she lived with her son and daughter-in-law. A year later, the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law became so strained that Madam Wong's son requested that his mother leave the house and go to live with her daughter.

The distraught mother sought the help of Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd to have the ownership of the house transferred to her daughter's name.

"But there was nothing we could do as the house was already in her son's name. It was sad to see the old woman clutching a bag of receipts to prove that she had paid for the house with her hard-earned money and now she's homeless," says Rockwills International group managing director Saw Leong Aun, recounting the ordeal that many people go through when they do not plan their wealth distribution properly.

This happened in life so can you imagine how much more complicated things can become in death.

Many families have been left in the lurch upon the death of the breadwinner who did not leave a will. It does not only create family feuds and a problem of inheritance but also leaves the family in dire straits especially if there are debts to be settled, taxes to be paid or loans to be serviced.

Assets that are not claimed over a period of time -- including property, EPF contributions, dividends, insurance claims, deposits in banks and wages -- eventually end up as unclaimed monies in the Accountant-General's office. Recently, Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Dr Awang Adek Hussein had said that the total amount of unclaimed monies in the country stood at RM4.53 billion.

Saw says having a will can help solve this problem otherwise the estate will be distributed according to the Distribution Act 1958 (amended in 1997), and this may not be compatible with the wishes of the deceased.

For instance, the deceased, who may not have been on good terms with his parents or siblings, may have wanted to leave his entire estate to his wife and children. But under the law, if he dies intestate (without leaving a will), his surviving parents will be entitled to a quarter of his wealth, while his wife and children will get 25 per cent and 50 per cent respectively.

Should the parents die later, the deceased's siblings can claim the parents' share.

Contrary to popular belief, Saw says writing a will is not something that only the rich should be doing.

"Everyone has something to their name whether it is a house, a car or a bank account. In fact, it is the average person who needs the will more than the super rich because they only have a limited amount of wealth which may mean the whole world to the family they leave behind.

"If they die intestate, then their assets would be frozen. Their loved ones will not have any access to whatever money until they have made the relevant application to the courts. And this can take years. How does the family survive in the meantime?"

Many Asians, especially the older generation still think it's taboo to talk about writing a will.

"When we started out 15 years ago, I remember we set up a booth at an exhibition in Batu Pahat and people would back away from our booth. They would not even pick up our brochure as they considered it taboo," recalls Low Wan Gem, CEO of Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd.

Now, he says, more people are warming up to the idea. He says the company usually sees a surge in people wanting to make a will following earthquakes, tsunamis or major accidents, disasters or outbreaks of infectious diseases.

"For example, during the SARS outbreak, many people called us. It is human nature for people to worry that the same fate may befall them."

Saw says there has been a 30-40 per cent increase in will writing among the public over the last 15 years.

Citing Madam Wong's case as an example, he says the advantage of having a will is that it can be re-written by the testator (person making the will) anytime he wishes as long as he is of sound mind.

"If you transfer a piece of your property to someone, you can't take it back. But if you have willed it to the person, you can always revoke your earlier will and write a new one."

Wills can also be used to keep your offspring on their toes as in the case of a wealthy businessman who was bothered by the very pampered and laid-back attitude of his sons. He told his children that although he had named them all in his earlier will, he had decided to re-write his will every year and apportion the bulk of his wealth to the most hardworking son. Now, the sons are going all out to prove their worth.

Interestingly, more than 60 per cent of Rockwills' clients comprise those aged between 30 and 55 years, with most having young children under their care.

Saw says there are even instances where people write wills before leaving for a holiday abroad while some couples travel separately to the same destination.

"They write a will just in case something happens to them during their trip," he says.

There are also those who write wills not to dispose off their estate but to leave specific instructions or messages for their loved ones.

This include expressing their love and affection for their loved ones or stating whether they want to be buried or cremated.

What's most important, Saw adds, is for the testator to keep the will in safe custody.

"Sometimes people write a will and keep it so secret that when they die no one even knows they left a will. This will cause inheritance problems."

Awareness low among Muslims
AS Muslims are governed by the faraid or Islamic law of inheritance which determines how their estate should be distributed upon their death, proper estate planning is crucial to ensure that loved ones are not left in the lurch.

"Unfortunately, only about one per cent of the 16 million Muslims in Malaysia have written their will or wasiat. The level of awareness on the need for a will is very low because they believe their estate will be governed by the faraid system upon their death, so writing a will is unnecessary," said Associate Professor Dr Siti Mashitoh Mahamood, Syariah law lecturer at University Malaya's Academy of Islamic Studies.

If a Muslim dies intestate, his property will be distributed according to the faraid system after payment of his funeral expenses and his debts. Any surplus after the distribution of his assets goes to the Baitulmal (the Muslim Treasury).

Under the faraid system, a widow with children would get one-eighth of her husband's assets. The rest of the property will be distributed among his children with the sons getting twice the portion given to the daughters.

If the man leaves a widow and a daughter, half his assets will be distributed to the daughter while his wife will receive a one-eighth portion. The rest of his assets will go to Baitulmal.

However, if the widow has no children, she only gets a quarter of his assets while the rest goes to Baitulmal.

As only the legitimate heirs of the deceased (ie his wife, sons, daughters and parents) are entitled to his assets under the faraid system, his other relatives such as his sisters, grandchildren or adopted children may not inherit anything.

Mashitoh said such situations could be avoided if Muslims plan their estate properly by writing a will or wasiat, spelling out how they would like their assets to be distributed upon their death.

"In fact, Muslims are encouraged to write a will to ensure that their loved ones who are non-heirs are taken care off. There is even a hadith narrated by Abdullah Ibn `Umar that the Prophet (p.b.u.h) said: "It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will to pass even two nights without having his last Will written."

In writing their will, Muslims can bequeath up to a third of their assets to anyone they wish, as long as the beneficiary is not a legitimate heir under the faraid system. The remaining two-thirds of his property will be distributed according to faraid.

Bequests can be made to relatives, friends, people in need or public welfare. A Muslim can also bequeath his assets to a non-Muslim, but not to anything or anyone who opposes Islam.

"So a Muslim convert can bequeath up to a third of his assets to his parents or siblings if he so wishes."

Mashitoh said instead of writing a will, Muslims could also use other instruments such as hibah (gifting), trust funds or wakaf (permanent dedication by a Muslim of a property for any religious, pious or charitable purpose) to distribute their assets among their loved ones.

"They can 'gift' their property to anyone they wish including their spouse, children, grandchildren, or siblings.

"For example, if a couple has an adopted child, the child will not be entitled to their property when the parents die. However, to safeguard the interest of the child, they can hibah the property to the child. But all this must be done while they are still alive and are of sound mind and good health so that it cannot be challenged later on. So, it is better to give what you want while you are still alive," she added.

Another option is to set up a trust fund for children which can be managed by parents while they are still alive and by an appointed trustee when they die.

"This is important especially if the child is a minor. The parent can determine the most qualified and suitable person to be the guardian of the child. Otherwise it will be left to the court and the guardian so appointed by the court may not be the most suitable or appropriate person to care for the child."

What you need to know about writing a will
1. A will must be in writing. It can be handwritten, typewritten or printed and it can be written in any language.

2. The testator (person making the will) must sign or affix his mark (for eg, a signature or thumbprint) at the end of the will, or place it in such a manner or position that it becomes obvious that it is intended to give effect to the writing as a will.

3. A will has to be witnessed by at least two persons present at the time of signing of the will by the testator himself, or the person signing on his behalf. Each of the witnesses shall then sign in the presence of the testator and in the presence of each other.

4. A will can be revoked before the testator's death, voluntarily or by operation of the law when certain events happen such as:

a) Marriage -- If a person is single at the time of writing his/her will, the will is automatically revoked once he/she marries.

b) Destruction -- A Will is considered revoked if it is destroyed with the intention of revoking it.

c) Writing of a new will -- a new will always supersedes other earlier wills. Therefore a will must be dated properly to avoid confusion or dispute in future.

d) Execution in writing -- the testator can declare in writing his intention to revoke his will dated on a certain day and put his signature on the piece of paper in the presence of two witnesses.

e) Conversion to Islam - once a person converts to the Muslim faith, the distribution of his estate is government by Syariah laws.

Centralised wills registration system

MUSLIMS make up 91 per cent of the 543,908 Malaysians who have written a will with AmanahRaya, the government-owned public trustee, indicating a growing awareness among the community of the importance of having a wasiat (will).
As at May, 495,758 Muslims have used the services of AmanahRaya to prepare a will, said AmanahRaya group chief operating officer Alina Hashim.

She said many Malaysians now realised the importance of writing a will and sought the services of trustees such as AmanahRaya as it helped ease the administration of their estate after their death.

"The appointment of a trustworthy guardian helps guarantee the welfare and interests of your loved ones when you are no more around, making things easier for beneficiaries," she added.

To help make estate administration easier, she said AmanahRaya had established a Wills Register or Daftar Wasiat Malaysia (DWM), which is a centralised system for the registration of Muslim and non-Muslim wills.

The register will serve as a reference centre for custodianship and updating of both Muslim and non-Muslim wills.

"With the availability of this centralised wills registration system, the families or beneficiaries of the deceased can check to see if the latter has left a will. If they have, then it makes it easier for a beneficiary to trace the custodian of the will or wasiat," she added.

AmanahRaya was originally the Department of Public Trustee and Official Administrator. The department was corporatised on Aug 1, 1995 to provide trust, legacy management and will services.

Nation pays tribute to fallen heroes

KUALA LUMPUR: The nation paid tribute to its fallen heroes Sunday, with solemn ceremonies including parades and laying of wreaths held throughout the country.

Warriors Day 2011 was centred at the Merdeka Square here, an event graced by the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein also attended the event.

Chief of Defence Forces Gen Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar were also present.

In his address at the event, Tuanku Mizan called on Malaysians to enhance the spirit of heroism, patriotism, loyalty, love and willing to sacrifice for the country.

He said this spirit had to be nurtured and promoted at all times in appreciation of the fallen heroes for their sacrifice.

"The nation is grateful to the fallen heroes. The peace, stability and prosperity the country enjoys will not have been achieved without their sacrifice," he said.

The king also called on the people, in the spirit of 1Malaysia, to unite and together show their appreciation for the heroes' sacrifice by contributing, in whatever form, to the warriors or the families of the fallen.

"I am grateful that the government never forgets the sacrifice and loyalty of these warriors. In recognition of their deeds and sacrifices, various accolades and bravery awards have been bestowed on them," he said.

At the same time, he said, the government also provided the necessary support and assistance to their families.

Tuanku Mizan said he hoped that the families of the fallen heroes would have the resilience and patience to carry on in life.

"We also pray that God will shower His blessings on the fallen heroes for their sacrifice," he added.

The king advised serving warriors to carry on with their noble deed, saying the people's expectation of them was high indeed.

He advised them to discharge their responsibilities as best as they could.

"Malaysia, as a unique Islamic state with its multi-racial society, is capable of showing the road ahead as well as playing the role of a catalyst for world peace," he said.

Soon after he arrived at Merdeka Square, Tuanku Mizan inspected a guard-of-honour mounted by 107 personnel of the Royal Malay Regiment led by Maj Amriza Mohd Ashari.

Various performances were staged at the event, including a "Pahlawan" (Warrior) poetry declamation.

A slight drizzle did not dampen the spirit of a pantomime on the nation's heroes by 200 police personnel and the performance by a choir, also from the police force.

Acclamation of "Daulat Tuanku" thrice in unison by the uniformed fraternity reverberated across the square to crown the day.

July 31 was declared Warriors' Day to mark the end of the Malayan Emergency in 1960 and was first observed on Aug 4, 1968.

PUTRAJAYA July 28 - The police will not be pressured into apologising to Pas deputy president Mohamad Sabu over an incident during the July 9 illegal rally in Kuala Lumpur, said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar.

He said police would first wait for the results of the investigation into Mohamad Sabu’s claim that he was knocked down by a police vehicle on that day.

"I do not want to be accused of lying. We must follow the law and procedures. I am responsible for enforcing the law. People have the right to say what they want. If he wants to sue, it is his right. We will maintain our professionalism,” he said.

He was speaking to reporters after witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding for strategic cooperation between the National Unity and Integration Department and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) here today.

Ismail was commenting on Mohamad Sabu’s demand for a public apology from the police over the alleged incident on July 9.

"We will present the results of the investigation to the Attorney-General for further action. People can judge for themselves.

"We have included the video of the location of the incident. That is the one thing to show who is telling the truth and who is not,” he added. - Bernama

Mohamad Sabu should be sued by the police for inciting the public to hate the police with his make up story to belittle the police force.

Reading and listening to the news on TV of the court procedings of the murder case of Datuk Sosilawati Lawiya makes me so damn mad.

I bet most of the sane people out there are mad too. Except for those motherfuckers who are more into upholding the rights of the criminals like the opposition leaders and the NGOs like the illegal Bersih 2.0 who are actually their cohorts.

Criminals do have their rights. But what about the human rights of the victims who had been mercilessly murdered by those killers? Imagine being burnt with cow dung!

In Islam, there is an eye for an eye. So, being murdered and burnt with cow dung deserved another burning with cow dung for the murderers.

They are dead but they do have rights too so that the living can trial and give the punishment deserved by their murderers. The victims are dead so they can't speak for themselves.

I mean. Can the opposition leaders give a guarantee that the motherfuckers who had killed Sosilawati, 47, her driver, Kamaruddin Shamsuddin, 47, Ahmad Kamil Abd. Karim, 32, and CIMB Bank officer for the Kampung Baru branch, Noorhisham Mohamad, 38 will not repeat what they had done by conning wealthy people from their money and then killing them when they got their money?

This is because the police surely have to do whatever they have to, to get the confessions from the murderers or those pariahs who burn the murdered bodies.

But since now that the accused have a lawyer to represent him in court, he gave a different statement from the first he had given to the police while he was in custody.

That is why defence lawyers are actually devils who are helping crooks mostly consisting of murderers, those assisting the murderers, drug dealers and the scums of the Earth who will do the most nauseating crimes that is unthinkable to the ordinary folks like us.

What if there is a situation where someone is being attacked by someone else who wants to kill them! Then that someone defended themselves to the extend of killing the attacker.

Let the criminals die because this will lessen the number of those who commit crimes towards the innocent. And the reduction of criminals in society is good for the society.

If the criminals are heartless, then the police force have to be more heartless to defend the majority of the people who are at stake when they become victims of the criminals.

Only criminals will support other criminals. Therefore, the opposition leaders must have been criminals too because they are so excited about defending the criminals rights!

Just like the overseas gay associations who are so passionate about defending the sodomy case of Anwar Ibrahim. They will definitely support one of their own.

Nik Aziz: Biometric system cannot resolve phantom voters issue

KUALA LUMPUR (July 26, 2011): PAS President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has responded negatively to the proposed introduction of the biometric voter verification system by the Election Commission (EC), contrary to the positive response from the party's spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

Abdul Hadi said he did not think that the system would be a solution to resolving the issue of alleged phantom voters.

Nik Aziz had reportedly welcomed the proposed system and said the party was prepared for an explanation from the EC on the matter.

Abdul Hadi, in a statement posted on the party's official portal, claimed that the system was open to manipulation by those operating it because only a small number of people had the expertise to handle it.

"PAS insists that the EC use indelible ink to mark a voter's finger just before voting to get rid of phantom voters and those who vote more than once in an election," he said.

He also said that the EC collaborate with the National Registration Department in the automatic registration of voters.

"It is strange that the EC says it can collaborate with the National Registration Department in handling the biometric system but cannot do so in the automatic registration of voters," he said.

EC Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof said yesterday the EC would implement the biometric system to overcome the issue of alleged phantom voters often raised by the opposition political parties just before every election.

Last Saturday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the government was agreeable to providing an allocation to the EC to establish a biometric system to verify genuine voters in an election. – Bernama

I think that the title of the Bernama news is not quite right. Nik Aziz welcomed the proposed system but only Hadi Awang rejected it.

PAS President lacks the grey matter. If he has any grey matter, surely the states under PAS administration will not be worst under PAS.

Surely, the use of the biometric system is more up to date than putting indelible ink to mark a voter's finger which is used in 3rd world countries.

We are moving towards making this country a developed one and Hadi Awang wants this country to remain in its developing status and not move forward.

We can't rely on a leader which had not make any improvements in Terengganu after PAS took over several years ago.

The sentence of "Kita akan tubuhkan negara Islam selepas ayam berkokok" just remain words which had not been realised even after PAS administered Terengganu.

Action speaks louder than words...

So, someone who cannot keep their promises to the people, should not be trusted at all and should be rejected because they will say anything but will do nothing.

If only some experts have the expertise to run the system, the system will be safer from being conned by the opposition leaders who kept crying wolf about phantom voters but will keep quiet about it when they won.

Do not trust the opposition leaders who are actually trying to revive communism in this country. They should all be hauled to the court for that.

Revoking PPSMI is a dumb move by the Education Minister

The move that will be taken by Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to revoke PPSMI thus introducing 'Dasar Memperkasa Bahasa Melayu Memperkukuh Bahasa Inggeris' (MBMMBI) is a dumb move which will backfire on the development of the students in mastering Science and Mathematics in English.

Just because he is a Tan Sri, the Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Education does not make him an intelligent human being!

However, the dumbest move had been reigned by Anwar Al Jub when he forced us students about 2 decades ago, to speak the STUPID Bahasa Baku which sounded more like a mentally retarded Indon lover.

A tribute to Sukma Dermawan who had been his loyal lover at that good time perhaps?

PPSMI is a policy introduced by our former premier Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and should be left alone instead of reversing it. Tun Dr Mahathir never did anything without having a good reason behind it.

The policy is good but the bad side are the policy makers who had failed to make it work. The policy makers should move heaven and earth to make it work instead of sabotaging the policy and making it fail.

Just because a few ridiculous people like A Samad Said and the minorities in the opposition who oppose PPSMI, does not mean that opposing it is a good thing which will benefit the students.

Those people are foolish and want others to be just as ignorant as them. They like it when other people are as stupid as them because stupid people can be made donkeys for them to ride on just as those who previously attended the Bersih 2.0 illegal rally.

Moreover, just look at the number of unemployed graduates due to their inability to communicate decently with the interviewer in English.

Nullifying it will make the standards of mastery of Mathematics and Science amongst the students to be worst.

Husband of PKR leader suffered chest pains, say police

KUALA LUMPUR: The husband of the Setiawangsa PKR Wanita chief who participated in the Bersih 2.0 illegal rally suffered chest pains while running away from the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU), said the acting city police chief.

Senior Asst Comm Datuk Amar Singh denied allegations that Baharudin Ahmad died after being beaten and sprayed with tear gas by police.

He added that police received a report, lodged by a doctor at Hospital Kuala Lumpur, stating a man who suffered from chest pains and had difficulty breathing was sent to the hospital at around 5.10pm.

“The doctors tried to resuscitate him but he died at around 5.30pm,” he said at the city police headquarters yesterday.

SAC Amar added that the post-mortem results revealed no injuries and that Baharudin, 58, had a swollen heart and three blocked arteries.

Police have classified the case as sudden death.

Baharudin’s son Mohd Nasrul, in his report, said his father suffered from hypertension.

Police also took a statement from one of Baharudin’s friends who was with him when he collapsed near Avenue K.

“He told us that Baharudin and some of the crowd started running when FRU tried to disperse the crowd,” said SAC Amar Singh.

Meanwhile, DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng offered his condolences to Baharudin’s family.

“I ask for a full inquiry and I’m sure that PAS will be handling the matter because he was their member,” he said.

Anwar wants condo owner, four others interviewed

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has filed an application to interview five witnesses before he takes his stand in his ongoing sodomy trial on Aug 8.

In the application, filed this morning via Messrs Karpal Singh & Co, Anwar named two of the witnesses as Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

The three others are Hasanuddin Abd Hamid, the owner of the condominium unit where the incident allegedly occurred, former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan and ex-Melaka police chief Datuk Mohd Rodwan Mohd Yusof.

Anwar stated that under the law, the onus is on the prosecution to facilitate witness interviews by the defence and that the costs will be paid by the prosecution.

In a supporting affidavit, Anwar said that his counsel S.N. Nair had received a letter from the Brickfields Criminal Investigation Department, dated July 18, stating that Mohd Rodwan, Najib, Rosmah and Musa had declined to be interviewed but agreed to be defence witnesses on condition that a subpoena is issued against them.

On May 16, Justice Mohamad Zabidin ordered Anwar to enter his defence after ruling that Anwar's former aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the complainant in the case, was a truthful and credible witness.

At the close of their case, the prosecution offered 71 witnesses, of whom the defence chose to interview 25.

Anwar pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court on Aug 7, 2008, to committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature at Kondominium Desa Damansara in Bukit Damansara between 3.10pm and 4.30pm on June 26 the same year. - BERNAMA

Najib spends his 58th birthday on the road

KANGAR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak celebrated his 58th birthday yesterday by criss-crossing Perlis but his sacrifice did not go unnoticed.

Everywhere he went, the Prime Minister was greeted by well-wishers and at all the programmes he attended, there were birthday songs and cakes waiting.

At the meet-the-people session in Dewan Wawasan 2020, people in the packed hall sang the birthday song to Najib while he cut a birthday cake.

At the closed-door Perlis Barisan Nasional meeting, a cake was also presented to the Prime Minister.

At a programme where he presented financial aid to Chinese and Tamil schools in Perlis, birthday songs in Malay, Mandarin, Tamil and English were sung.

Najib said although it was his birthday, he considered it just a “normal day”.

That’s why he decided to be with the people of Perlis.

“Whether it is my birthday or not, I want to show that I am doing my utmost for the rakyat,” he said.

Asked what was his birthday wish, the Prime Minister hoped for Malaysia to continue being a peaceful nation.

“I also wish that our plans for Malaysia will be successful. That is my birthday wish,” he said, smiling.

Nik Aziz: Ban imposed by Allah

TUMPAT: The ban on lottery in Kelantan was not imposed by the Pas-led state government but by Allah, Menteri Besar Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat said yesterday.

He said everyone should be aware of this.

He also said the state government was not worried about the summons and suits brought by several quarters against it for its tough stand on gaming activity.

A summons filed on June 6 by three businessmen said neither the state nor local government were authorised to impose any rule on any gaming activity.

Chinese traders are also suing the state government for imposing a state-wide ban on the sale of lottery tickets.

Malayan Tigers to go for the kill

SINGAPORE, July 22 - Malaysia will go in for the kill and will not be bothered by previous records when they meet Singapore in first leg of the second round of the 2014 World Cup Asian Zone Qualifier tomorrow.

Coach Datuk K. Rajagobal said he was very happy with the Malayan Tigers' form but declined to compare the achievements of previous national teams with the present one.

"One must understand that we have a different situation and a different set of players. We only have to think about what we are going to do tomorrow, not the past track record,” he told reporters at a hotel here today.

Interrogators known for their brutal methods

PETALING JAYA: Teoh Beng Hock's interrogators have been known to apply intimidating approaches during interrogation, the RCI report said.

It also said Teoh had to bear the weight of abusive and intense interrogation because he was the vital and sole link between Ean Yong Hian Wah and the contractors and suppliers for the projects and programmes.

“During his interrogation, Teoh had to face MACC interrogation heavyweights like Arman the bully (who would manipulate his witnesses to obtain evidence), Ashraf the abuser (who was Machiavellian in his method to secure evidence) and Hishamuddin the arrogant leader (who would have no qualms in lying as long as his ends were achieved, regardless of the means employed).”

MACC officer Arman Alies had also interrogated Teoh.

The report said despite the habitual denials by the MACC officers-cum-interrogators, it could be safely concluded that their interrogation methods ranged from earnest and intensive questioning to psychological intimidation and physical threats.

“Since this had been their approach, there was no reason to believe that Teoh had received less aggressive treatment as compared with the rest.”

These intense stages of interrogation, the report said, must have created serious doubts in Teoh's mind with regards to his actions in relation to his duties as Ean Yong's political secretary.

“Finding no viable strategies to surmount the hurdle of accusations levelled, he found himself unable to escape from the suffocating quagmire in which he was trapped,” it added.

“Since the window on the 14th floor (of the Selangor MACC office) was either open or could be easily opened and it was conspicuous and easily accessible near where he was on the sofa outside Mohd Nadzri Ibrahim's room, Teoh would have found that the only way for escape from the torment he was undergoing was by jumping out the window, even though it meant taking his own life,” it said.

Teoh's family rejects findings; mum adamant he was murdered

ALOR GAJAH: The family of the late Teoh Beng Hock has refused to accept the Royal Commission of Inquiry's (RCI) findings that the political aide had committed suicide.

Teoh's mother Teng Shuw Hor, 58, insisted her son was murdered.

“I will not accept that my son would take his own life.

“My son was murdered,” she said when met at the family home at Taman Seri Kelemak here yesterday.

Teng said her family was not convinced with the findings and insisted that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) must be held fully responsible for Teoh's death.

“I cannot be patient. Whoever took him there (to the Selangor MACC building) must be held responsible,” she said, adding that those named in the RCI report must be prosecuted for murder.

The Star attempted to speak to Teoh's fiance Soh Cher Wei but she declined.

However, Soh, through an SMS in Mandarin, thanked the RCI for “allowing her to dream for several months”.

“(Now that) I have been slapped on my face, it is time to wake up,” she wrote.

In Kuala Lumpur, Teoh's younger sister Lee Lan, 31, told reporters that while there might have been evidence of “torture”, there was none that pointed to him having committed suicide.

“As a family, we cannot accept the conclusion of the report. It is not an answer for us,” she told a press conference at family lawyer Karpal Singh's office.

She said the report did not indicate what happened to her brother.

“My brother was not weak,” she added, in reference to her brother being called weak-willed.

Karpal said they would study the report in detail before deciding on the next course of action next week.

He said they were not discounting the possibility of applying for a juidicial review to challenge the findings of the report.

“The findings are shocking and unacceptable to the family. They want justice done,” he said.

So, it's normal that Teng Shuw Hor did not believe that Teoh Beng Hock had committed suicide.

But if TBH was really murdered and not committed suicide, I am sure that the goons in DAP had done it to cover up their illegal activities.

They had more to lose out if TBH opened up his mouth and be SPRM's witness and divulging their illegal activities.

The news in The New Straits Times titled "Bersih activities in 4 places tomorrow" really irked me. If it were up to me, I would haul all those motherfuckers in under the Emergency Ordinance or the Internal Security Act.

It's time to be tough on troublemakers because being lenient to them will not make them stop from their stupid acts but will act more idiotic.

They had created chaos and caused the country to lose out in the monetary terms because they had made foreigners/tourists scared to come to Malaysia because of the 9th July 2011 rally and now they are trying to do it again.

Even though the police had been civil enough with the hooligans who are the donkeys of Anwar Ibrahim to create chaos in the country so that they foreign media can potray Malaysia as a country where the police force are brutal and uncivilised had failed.

The police had been lenient enough to the extend of using the tax payers money, which I am sure many will not 'halal' the tax they had paid to be used to serve buffet to those who are traitors of the country for becoming demonstrators for the BerSHIT illegal rally.

What is the use of being nice to the people who are not grateful at all for the police's hard work to keep the country peaceful?

Those who had attended the BerSHIT illegal rally should have been apprehended and charged in court for sabotaging the economic stability of the country and disturbing the majority of the people who clearly have proven that they are not as stupid as the mules used by Anwar Ibrahim to cause riot in Kuala Lumpur so that his sodomy charge will not be heard in court.

"He knows that if he does not do anything, we (the Barisan Nasional) will win in the 13th general election.

"This is the last chance for him. When people know that this is their last chance, they will do everything, good or bad,” he said.

Najib, who is also the BN chairman, said Anwar deliberately wanted to bring down the country”s image and show to the world that Malaysia was not democratic and instead tried to portray himself as a good person.

Probe into rally incursion

JOHOR BARU: The police are investigating how some of those restricted from coming to the Bersih rally in Kuala Lumpur managed to slip through.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said those found to have disregarded the restriction order would be investigated.

“Anyone found guilty of failing to adhere to the restriction order will face legal action, regardless of their political affiliation,” he after handing out certificates to members of 1,024 Police Undergraduate Voluntary Corps at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia here yesterday.

Among the 91 people barred from entering certain parts of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday were Bersih 2.0 chairman Datuk S. Ambiga, Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, his deputy Mohamad Sabu, PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and PKR vice-president Tian Chua.

On the fateful day of the 9th of July 2011, I had been crazy enough to went to the Perkasa event in Kuala Lumpur to see how far Perakasa is willing to do to defend the rights of the Malays from Bersih or BERSHIT!

It was quite a dissappointing event when it was held at Stadium Titiwangsa and the people who attended the 'santai' event was not as amny as the imbeciles who went to BerSHIT event.

I was quite ready for some blood shed if Perkasa too went to the street rally and met head on with the BerSHIT bastards and bitches. However, the number of the Perkasa members or even leaders was a real let down. My dream of bashing of some BerSHIT bastards and bitches head on the street had been dashed.

If you are afraid to die in a riot, then don't be boastful that you are going to attend it. Even the Malay saying said that "Manusia dipegang pada janji".

Not only that, the president himself, Datuk Ibrahim Ali is nowhere to be seen. It is so shameful that a Perkasa President does not even show his face to attend an event held by Perkasa.

If you don't want to show your face in a Perkasa event where you are the President, if you are scared to die in a riot which had not occured, then don't talk big about warning Anwar Al Juburi or putting a finger on the 'keling paria' Ambiga's head and pushing it if ever the Perkasa rally met them at the Istana Negara!!!

I am also perplexed that the 6 busses with ferries Perkasa members from Johor had been stopped in Putrajaya. It's because of their strategy which had been overlooked and underestimated by others.

Since they knew that only komuter, LRT and monorail are the only public transportation that will be allowed to move, then it was used to the fullest advantage by the supporters of PAS and PKR. Now that is what I call the burning desire to do something regardless of what people do to stop you. And I don't see that characteristics in UMNO or Perkasa members.

So, in tactical terms, UMNO and Perkasa members failed miserably because the fighting spirit of the PAS and PKR supporters are more genuine and it's proven that they are able to withstand anything to make their voices to be heard to the world.

Even though this is the work of unseen hands to make a bad name for Malaysia, it had worked because foreign journalist were waiting to report only the bad things which had not happened such as there is already another 13th May in Malaysia on that day. Those unprofessional reporting which clearly showed that they had bad intention to slur Malaysia's name should be sued and a formal apology should be made by the international media.

I had yet to see that kind of genuine fighting spirit in UMNO and Perkasa members. In fact, I thought that Patriot (Pemuda UMNO) had more balls than Perkasa since their leaders had been apprehended by the police. If Perkasa leaders had also been arrested by the police, then surely Perkasa's name will be more infamous.

It was my first attendance in a Perkasa event that I went to voluntarily and nobody had to put a gun to my head to go to it. I thought that there will be some action and blood spilled but it was so fucked up where we were even entertained by some 'poco-poco' dance. lol

Cops prepare for possible demos by splinter groups although street rally is called off

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are gearing up to face possible street demonstrations by splinter groups on Saturday although Bersih 2.0 chairman Datuk S. Ambiga has called off the street rally.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar said police were not taking any chances although Bersih had agreed to hold its rally inside a stadium.

“But we will ensure our preventive actions including roadblocks and redirecting traffic will not cause much inconvenience to motorists.

“I have instructed all the state police chiefs and district police chiefs to review their roadblock checks. They will only be carried out if totally necessary.

“Our priority is to ensure public order and the safety of every member of the public,” he said yesterday.

Khalid hoped the public would understand why the police needed to remain vigilant in the light of the discovery of Molotov cocktails and machetes in several locations in Gombak and the city centre two days ago.

Khalid also promised to expedite any permit application for the Bersih rally and warned that failure by the organisers to do so might result in stern police action against both the organisers and participants.

He also reminded those who planned to take part in the rally not to wear or have on them any paraphernalia related to Bersih.

He said to date, 3,256 police reports had been lodged nationwide against Bersih, 235 people have been arrested over various offences related to the rally and 29 charged in court.

Meanwhile, police recovered a bag containing four home-made shotguns in Petaling Jaya.

Police said the bag was found by a gym manager outside a shophouse in Taman Seri Manja yesterday.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed said the shotguns were found in the bag, which was wrapped in a yellow canvas material.

Bersih calls off street rally and accepts stadium offer

KUALA LUMPUR: The organisers of the Bersih 2.0 rally have called off the street demonstration planned for this Saturday.

The rally will be held in a stadium instead, said Bersih steering committee chairman Datuk S. Ambiga yesterday.

“We have accepted the Government's offer to hold the rally in a stadium and we will work with them now (in regards to the choice of stadium).

“The rally on the street will not take place,” she said after having an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at Istana Negara earlier.

She was accompanied by Bersih steering committee member Zaid Kamaruddin and national laureate Datuk A. Samad Said.

Ambiga described her brief audience with Tuanku Mizan as “a wonderful meeting and we were most grateful to the King”.

On Sunday, Tuanku Mizan made known his thoughts on the rally, saying that street demonstrations would bring more bad than good to the country.

Ambiga agreed that the move to hold the rally in a stadium was the best compromise in light of the King's advice.

“Under the circumstances, this is the best way we can do that,” she added.

On details of the stadium rally, Ambiga declined to elaborate, adding that more information would be released soon.

Bersih steering committee member Maria Chin Abdullah asked police to release all those arrested under the Emergency Ordinance for supporting the rally.

She added that police should stop arresting and harassing the supporters since Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had offered a stadium for the rally to be held.

Anwar's third attempt to recuse sodomy trial judge fails

KUALA LUMPUR: Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim Wednesday failed in his third attempt to recuse his sodomy trial judge.

Court of Appeal judge Justice Hasan Lah, who chaired a three-man panel, held that it was not appealable.

The court allowed a preliminary objection by the deputy public prosecutor and dismissed the appeal.

Deputy public prosecutor Datuk Nordin Hassan raised a preliminary objection that the court should dismiss the recusal application by Anwar on issue of jurisdiction.

Nordin said the High Court's ruling to refuse Anwar's recusal application was not appealable as it was not the final outcome of the trial which disposed off his rights.

The Court of Appeal also dismissed an application by Anwar to stay his sodomy case.

Weapons find has cops wary

KUALA LUMPUR: The street rallies are off but police will still remain vigilant as they step up security ahead of Saturday.

They mounted 278 roadblocks nationwide from last night while General Operations Force, Federal Reserve Unit and Light Strike Force personnel have been mobilised.

Although the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) agreed to move its rally to a sta-dium, police are concerned about security issues, especially after the discovery of weapons and explosive materials.

The weapons, together with Bersih T-shirts, were found here and Gombak on Monday and early yesterday.

The first seizure was on Monday when an Orang Asli stumbled across a cache of weapons, Molotov cocktails and Bersih T-shirts near a Chinese temple in Batu 14, Gombak.

Selangor police chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said they seized 36 Molotov cocktails, 20 parang, 44 Bersih T-shirts, lighters, ball bearings and yellow- and red-coloured bandannas.

Police suspect some parties intended to create chaos during the rally as the items had been hidden near the temple for easy collection at a later date.

In the city, police seized eight Molotov cocktails, 43 ball-like firecrackers, eight surgical masks, three parang, a small saw, a meat cleaver and four Bersih T-shirts.

Acting city police chief Datuk Amar Singh said the items were found in three plastic bags near Pertama Complex in Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman.

Amar said: "We received a tip-off from two men who operate stalls in the area that three men in a Proton Waja were behaving suspiciously.

"They were wearing skull caps and masks."

He said police found the first plastic bag in front of a restaurant near Pertama Complex, hidden in between flower pots, and found the second bag 150m away.

The third was found inside bushes at a fountain behind the Sogo shopping mall.

He said police believed the items had been hidden there by parties who planned to take part in the rally.

"They knew that it would be difficult to hide the weapons on the day of the rally as police would be everywhere, so they hid them earlier."

Police are viewing closed-circuit television footage from business premises near where the bags were found to identify the suspects.

He did not discount the possibility that the weapons belonged to the same group of people.

Meanwhile, police said they are waiting for an official application from Bersih 2.0 organisers to hold their gathering in a stadium.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said police had the authority to regulate meetings and assemblies.

He said police would abide by the royal decree issued by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin regarding the cancellation of the street rally.

"Whatever decision we make is always made based on internal security and public order."

Police will seek reassurances on safety and security from Bersih 2.0 organisers when they file their application.

WHAT IF? . . .

Last night there's an online gathering via Skype amongst the Malaysian members of the now defunct Watcher's group. Two other guests from foreign countries also join the meeting.

The issue was - How come no one amongst us realize about the 'nine seven eleven' (9.7.11) thing? I myself only realize it on 27th June when one other Malaysian member text me about it after reading my article. He also admitted that it only crossed his mind when he read my article where I wrote "..I don't think anything will happens on 9th of July because the Illuminati is all about numerology..". The first thing that clicked in his mind is the numbers 9/11 which is the nickname for the World Trade Bombing. Then a second later he began to remember the rest of seven unholy numbers of the Illuminati (3, 7, 9,11,13, 33, 39) and he realize the mistakes in my article. So he immediately texted me and called me an idiot.

That's not the point of the meeting anyway, the point is how on earth the numbers 9-7-11 managed to slip from our mind all these time? We're supposed to be the Malaysian profilers for the Watcher's Group for God's sake and we didn't noticed it earlier!

Which brings us to the important question. Have our 'defenses' been overcomes by the Illuminati mantra? I shudders to think that maybe we have.

The first time I've heard about it was from a Christian member of the Watcher's Group who shared with the rest of the group the Prophecy of The Lady of Fatima. Through time, the group share more newspaper clips and articles proving this is true.

The prophecy reads as follows: "Do not laugh and think it has become a big myth in your nation, and other nations of the world, that there is not murders being committed in the name of ritualistic sacrifices to satan. Many children and young have disappeared, never again to be seen, as they were disposed of after being used as sacrifice to satan, Lucifer"

This is as true as it gets, because The Illuminati sacrifice children in rituals eight times a year. According to Illuminati defector, The Illuminati count on people to be incredulous. That's their protection. The more egregious their crimes, the safer they are.

Well, over the years since the Illuminati started its major "project" in Malaysia, some of us have been counting the numbers of missing children in Malaysia. We noticed that not only the numbers keep adding up from year to year, we also notice that our most powerful Bomoh have been made a fool by the Illuminati over and over again in the media.

Amongst the Malays practitioners of 'alternative' healing (i.e Dukun, Bomoh, Pawang Etc), the most necessary arsenal needed is the ability to 'see'. The ability to 'see' is very important because it is widely believed that a demon would be weaken if the Dukun is able to tell the Demon what the Demon was and where it came from. This is the reason why in every mantra there's a phrase "..aku tahu asal usulmu..".

Also, the ability to 'see' is necessary to gain respect from the opponent. When two powerfull Dukun met each other, one the first thing they'll usually do are 'scanning' each other and start telling what he knows about the other person. For example:-

Dukun A: Assalammualaikum?
Dukun B: Walaikumsalam. Mu baru sampai dari Janda Baik naik bas?
Dukun A: Wah hebat awak ni boleh tau aku dari Janda Baik walaupun ini kali pertama jumpa. Ya baru sampai tadi. Isteri awak si Zakian, Anas, Jamilah apa khabar? Syukurlah si Jamilah dah mengandung 6 bulan.

In the world of 'Dukun', the ability to 'scan' the other is used as a method to test the power of the other. A few days later, the little girl later was found dead in a brand-new gym bag with cucumber and a brinjal was found stuffed inside her genitals.

Her murder caught our attention because of the numerology in this case. The victim was born on 11 September 1999 which make her appealing to the Illuminati. Noticed the number 11 and 9 here just like the 9/11 in the WTO bombing?. Then there's the number 999 which not only 9x3 but also can be flipped to become 666. Therefore 9, 11 and 999/666 are definitely appealing to the Illuminati bastards. It's like in Malay folklore where there's a story about a black magic bomoh who would require a child born on certain day of the weeks to be presented to Jembalang, only in this case the Illuminist probably require a child born under certain date.

We also actually believe that the Bomoh was trying to help in good faith. Bearing in mind that when he performed his "scan" the little girl was still alive (her death has been determined to be later on September 16, 2007), the group is still wondering whether his vision that the girl was alive somewhere in Setapak at the time he scanned it is something that worth to be look into. We also consider the time of her death. She is said to die on 16th September 2007 due to bacterial infection. However, from a medical point of view a death due to bacterial infection is a slow agonizing death which can take up to 2-3 days afterward. Therefore there is good possibility that whatever being done to her was done on 13th September 2007 before she finally succumbed 3 days later. Taking the number 13 and 9 into consideration, the group just couldn't help to wonder "what if?" until now.

However, we also have to include the possibility that the Bomoh was wrong in his scanning. This is especially true if the Bomoh performed the scanning with the help of Djin. A text book case would be the missing of the 5 years old Sharlinie Mohd. Nashar on 9th January 2008. On January 23 in about 50 bomohs unanimously proclaimed that the captors are practitioners of black magic and that Sharlinie would be found within a week. Unfortunately, she is still missing.

To be fair, I have to explain here that "scanning" and "predicting" is two different thing. KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — Bersih has asked the police to suggest a route for its July 9 march to ensure that the rally goes off without a hitch, in what appears to be an attempt to bridge the growing divide between both parties.

Bersih chairman Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan said the election watchdog presented the suggestion to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in the hopes that he would be open-minded and work with Bersih.

“We have asked them, the police, now you choose from one point in Kuala Lumpur to Taman Jaya, whatever,” she told reporters outside Bukit Aman police headquarters here after meeting with IGP Tan Sri Ismail Omar.

“You choose what route, we will follow. And we will do it peacefully.”

The police were required by law to protect any party wanting to hold an assembly and could arrest those who refused to gather in peaceful fashion, she pointed out.

Ambiga revealed that Ismail did not respond to the request during the “very friendly” meeting but stressed that she remained “ever hopeful” Bersih will get a positive answer from him next week.

“This will go on with police help. That is what I’m positive about... And I’m going to remain positive because that’s best for everybody,” she said.

Ambiga declined to comment on Bersih’s next course of action if the IGP remained steadfast in his refusal to let the rally take place, saying she would cross that bridge when she came to it.

Bersih will take to the streets of Kuala Lumpur on July 9 to demand free and fair elections.

The government, however, insists that elections are already free and fair, citing the opposition’s historic gains in Election 2008.

Pakatan Rakyat (PR) hopes the demonstration will generate momentum ahead of a general election expected within a year.

The first Bersih rally in 2007 saw up to 50,000 people take to the streets of Kuala Lumpur before being dispersed by police armed with tear gas and water cannon.

The demonstration has been partly credited for PR’s record gains in the 2008 general election, which saw the opposition pact swept to power in five states and won 82 parliamentary seats.

The police, however, have alleged that the Bersih 2.0 rally is being masterminded by foreign parties who wish to see chaos in the country and have promised to crack down on Bersih supporters if they go ahead with the march.

Political Scientists, Sociologists Say Street Politics Can Cause Riots

KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 – Sociologists and political scientists are worried that the illegal assembly planned for July 9 can set off a chaotic situation especially with the manipulation of third parties.

“The organisers might say the assembly will be peaceful, but one individual is all it takes to cause mob behaviour,” said social scientist Prof Dr Ahmad Atory Hussain of Universiti Sains Malaysia.

“If the assembly is to go ahead, there may be disturbances, clashes between communities or among the Malays because of political differences,” he said.

If the assembly were to be big, the chance of disturbances would be greater, he added.

Ahmad Atory also did not rule out the possibility of third party manipulation.

A Universiti Teknologi Mara political science lecturer in Dungun, Che Hamdan Mohd Razali, doubted the organiser was motivated by love of democracy.

“I see the assembly is meant to provoke. It is also to build up anti-government sentiment among voters for the coming general election,” he said.

He said the assembly could only cause hardship to the people, particularly stall keepers and traders.

A senior lecturer at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Abd Ghapa Harun, said the organisers should be held responsible for anything disastrous that happened at the assembly.

Rallies to go on in spite of top cop's warning

KUALA LUMPUR: Despite the stern warning from Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar yesterday, the organisers of all three rallies on July 9 will be going ahead with their plans.

Bersih 2.0 rally organiser Datuk Ambiga Sreenevasan said she would meet with Ismail today to discuss matters relating to the rally and would address the public further after the meeting.

"But as it stands, Bersih will continue with the gathering," she said.

Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said the wing's counter-rally to Bersih would go on, "no matter what happens".

The Rembau member of parliament also took a dig at Ismail, saying the police should not threaten the people. "It is incumbent upon the police to protect citizens and not to threaten them."

Khairy said many protocols were in place for people going to the rally under Umno Youth's banner.

"We have had many safety and security briefings to make sure Umno Youth will not contribute to violent acts on July 9," he said, adding that "crowd control officers" would be among the wing's people.

Khairy will be sailing to Gaza on a humanitarian mission at the time of the rally, so Umno Youth information chief Datuk Rizal Merican will head the gathering.

Meanwhile, Pertubuhan Pribumi Perkasa Negara (Perkasa) vice-president Musli Oli said the police could arrest as many people as they wanted, but it would not change their message.

"The people are no longer afraid because we are becoming increasingly aware of our rights to freedom to choose our government."

In a surprising deviation from what his president, Datuk Ibrahim Ali, has been saying, Musli said he believed Perkasa and Umno Youth should join forces with Bersih.

"If there is dishonesty on the government's part, all political parties must band together to correct that error, in this case, unfair election processes," he said.

Ibrahim could not be reached for comment.

Illegal rally may lead to RM1.2b losses

KUALA LUMPUR: The Tourism Ministry yesterday urged organisers of the Bersih 2.0 rally to call it off as the industry could lose about RM1.2 billion.

Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen said the July 9 rally would not only have a negative impact on the tourism industry but the country's economy.

"The rally will cause a security threat and we would lose about 20 per cent in tourism revenue," she said after chairing a meeting with major tourism industry players at the Malaysian Tourism Centre yesterday.

Dr Ng said in July last year the country had received a total of 2.2 million tourists who spent nearly RM6 billion.

She said she had also received information about a group of travel agents from China who were now hesitant about coming to Malaysia after reading about the rally.

"We do not know how bad it would get. Someone could accidentally kick another person and this could end up hurting a lot of people," she said.

Dr Ng said such a situation would affect the income of taxi drivers, small business owners, restaurants and paint a bad image of the country.

Tourism associations represented at yesterday's meeting included the Malaysian Spas Association, Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, Malaysian Association of Hotel Owners and Malaysian Association of Hotels. All agreed that the planned rally should not take place.

Association of Malaysian Spas vice-president Ramona Suleiman said many tourists from Saudi Arabia feared for their safety.

"They are here on holiday to relax and reports about the rally scare them. My business will surely suffer that week," she said.

Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association president Paul Paw said he would be meeting directors from the China National Travel Organisation to clarify safety issues.

"The (Chinese) government body called for the meeting as they are afraid of the worst that could happen when a group of delegates arrive next month," he said.

Paw said the group of 100 travel agents from China are to arrive here on July 10 for a conference to take place on July 12.

"If they decide not to come, we may lose about RM1 million on top of a bad reputation that will follow," he said.

Malaysian Association of Hotels vice-president Christina Toh said the Kuala Lumpur chapter had lodged a police report against the movement and will be writing to other chapters to do the same.

Police to use all available laws to prevent July 9 demonstrations

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have warned that they will use all available laws to prevent the July 9 rallies, saying they have information that foreign elements were out to create chaos.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar issued the warning to groups who planned to defy police orders, regardless of their political affiliations, from holding the rallies.

“Intelligence gathered has revealed attempts by certain quarters, including foreign elements, attempting to seize the opportunity and exploit the situation.

“There is a possibility that should the rally proceed, it could create chaos, destruction to property, injuries and even the possibility of loss of lives,” he told a press conference at Bukit Aman yesterday.

Ismail said there were certain groups openly and secretly planning to gather thousands of people to create chaos by instigating public participation in illegal assemblies.

He said police have arrested 101 people nationwide for allegedly inciting the public to join the rallies.

He said 45 of them were still being detained, adding that 1,830 reports had been lodged by the public opposing the rallies.

Ismail said that if such a situation was not arrested immediately, it could pose a public order situation as well as a threat to national security.

“The police force will not allow any individual or parties to take advantage and create chaos or anarchy.

“We will take stern action within the confines of the law against anyone or party that plans to organise or participate in illegal gatherings,” he said.

Ismail said police would continue to take action against those distributing leaflets, T-shirts or any other method to incite the public into participating in the illegal rallies.

“Action will be taken against anyone found wearing the yellow attire, or driving cars, and buses with the Bersih 2.0 logo to incite people to attend the rallies,” he said.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said action would be taken against the Umno Youth members who surrounded the PKR headquarters on Monday and allegedly threatened to burn down the office.

“I told the police to treat them as with Bersih. Nobody is above the law,” he said.

He said T-shirts with messages in support of Bersih have been outlawed because they were related to an illegal assembly.

“The Bersih T-shirt is related to an illegal assembly, then whatever they are wearing is illegal,” he told a press conference here yesterday.

Hishammuddin dismissed claims that the police arrests of those supporting the July 9 march for electoral reforms were politically-motivated. can also ask the same thing of them,” he said.

On the 28th of June 2011, Datuk Ibrahim Ali, Perkasa leader had turned up at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters to have his statement to be recorded for about 2 hours with a probe under the Sedition Act for the alleged statement he made against Malaysian Chinese in addition to a rally that is planned to oppose the illegal Bersih 2.0.

Meanwhile, Anwar Ibrahim, the Pakatan Rakyat leader and Khairy Jamalluddin, the Umno Youth chief are among a dozen people that is expected to be called up by the police to have their statements recorded over the rallies planned for 9th July by Bersih 2.0, Perkasa and Umno Youth.

Bersih 2.0 chairman Ambiga Sreenevasan arrived with her lawyers N. Surendran, Fadaih Nadwa Fikri and several supporters. Ambiga is a lawyer, so surely she knew how to manipulate the law to side with her. Lawyers have always been known to explicate criminals from their criminal charges on the defense of technicality.

Just like what Karpal Singh had done when he :

1. On 22-10-1997 Parliamentary session, YB Karpal Singh accused the then Deputy PM, YB Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, was involved in sodomy.

2. Sometime in the early part of 1998, YB Karpal Singh proudly proclaimed in the DAP Ceramah in the Federal Hotel that he had evidence in his hand that the then Deputy PM was involved in sodomy.

But now, proving himself a first class hypocrite, he became Anwar's defence attorney because of the political pact of Pakatan Rakyat where PAS, PKR and DAP are joined together with a sole aim of bringing down Barisan Nasional.

This means that he does not have any honour at all and will do whatever it takes to defend someone that he had accused of being a homosexual and indulges in sodomy.

As Anwar Ibrahim had been jailed for bribery and sodomy, siding with him means that the opposition pact approves of his wrong doings and criminal acts.

Inciting people to go for illegal demonstrations for the Bersih 2.0 is a pure criminal act and should be charged for incitement of rioting. The Election Commission had opened their doors to Bersih for a peaceful discussion but Bersih chooses to go for an illegal demonstration in the streets.

This is a blatant prove that Bersih had a hidden agenda to create chaos in the country and it is not to ask for a free and fair election because if the elections are not free and fair, do you honestly think that the opposition could have wrestle 5 states from Barisan Nasional?

Not only people will be afraid to go out to the city that day which happens to be the weekend, shop owners have to close up their shops in case rioting occurs and profits from their business will dip.

Taxi drivers will lose their customers and the country will lose money from the tourism industry because tourists will be afraid to come to Malaysia in July because they are anticipating chaos because of the riot that could occur on that day.

KUANTAN: A rubber tapper claimed trial at a Sessions Court here to a charge of hurting his wife by allegedly biting her private parts.

Mohd Shakri Ismail, 28, is charged with causing injury to his wife Roshapida Mat Sidik, 23, while trying to have sex with her at their home at Felda Bukit Goh here between 12am and 3.30am on April 21.

If convicted, he could be jailed up to five years.

Mohd Shakri, who was unrepresented, told Sessions judge Noradidah Ahmad that he never hurt his wife.

Noradidah then asked him why there were bite marks on Roshapida's genitals.

Mohd Shakri did not answer the question and pleaded not guilty.

Noradidah fixed bail at RM7,000 and set July 25 for mention.

On the 23rd of June 2011, there had been news reports about the death threat that had been received by Ambiga, the Coalition for Free and Fair Elections (Bersih) chief.

After lodging a police report at the Jalan Travers police station, Ambiga told reporters that she had lodged a police report and is confident that the police willl trace the sender as they have the means to find out.

I thought the opposition and their NGOs who are inclined towards the opposition are so antagonistic towards the police force as if the police are infected with leprosy or they are the public enemy.

So now, why does Ambiga swagger to make a police report when they always condemned the police previously?

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein also said that he himself get death threats too but in the case of Bersih, this particular threat have to be taken more seriously.

However, I am unsure of whether this death threat is genuine or just a role play by Ambiga since Anwar Ibrahim in 2008 too had claimed that he received death threats after Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan lodged a report that he had been sodomised by Anwar Ibrahim. I am sure Ambiga is only following his lead.

Anwar Ibrahim had been so scared or just acting scared that he had to seek refuge at the Turkish Embassy. But thank goodness, that until today, Anwar Ibrahim is still alive and well. Thanks to the CIA agents that had been looking after his safety.

Surely some hidden hand had been conspiring with Anwar Ibrahim to help keep Anwar safe from those he accused of conspiring to bring him down or wanting to end his life as he alleged

What is so amazing is that until today, the police had not been able to capture the alleged person whom Anwar said wanted to kill him. And Anwar is now free to go anywhere and do not have to seek sanctuary from the Turkish Embassy anymore.

The question is why did he have to hide in the Turkish Embassy in the first place? Is there any special relationship that Anwar has with someone in the Turkish Embassy? What is so extraordinary about the Turkish Embassy? I will be grateful to anyone who can answer any of my questions! ;-)

Maybe anyone who knows something that me and the rest of us don't, would be able to share their knowledge with us to shed some light on this perplexing matter.

Surely Ambiga can go and seek asylum at the Turkish Embassy as well since Anwar had such good contacts there. Anwar can just pick up the phone and ask for the Turkish delights in the Turkish Embassy to help Ambiga too.

MoHE not responsible for students involved in illegal rallies abroad

KUALA LUMPUR: The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE)will not be responsible nor guarantee Malaysian students should they be detained for holding illegal rallies abroad.

Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin was however confident that it would not happen as it was not easy for students in foreign countries to get such permission.

"They can't simply hold rallies as students are subjected to laws in the respective countries," he said when asked about posting in some blogs and portals that Malaysian students abroad will hold simultaneous rallies on July 9.

Khaled said it was improper for students to hold or join illegal rallies as it would not yield results.

Moreover, the students would be used for the benefit of certain parties.

"Students involved in illegal rallies will have to face the law. For example, they will be arrested if they were to assemble in Singapore or Egypt."

Asked whether students involved in rallies would be recalled or have their sponsorship withdrawn, Khaled it was up to the sponsors to take action.

"We will not intervene because sponsorship does not come under the ministry," he added. -- BERNAMA

The Malaysian students locally or overseas should carry-the can if they are being arrested for being involved in illegal rallies in Malaysia or abroad.

Anyone should be brave to face the consequences of their action. Since you are so brave to join the illegal demonstration, please do not whine when you are arrested for breaking the law.

Besides, if you are unintelligent and feel that your studies are making your head explode, this is a good time to rest in jail. Therefore, I am encouraging you guys to join the illegal rally. Just go ahead!

The government should also withdraw the scholarships and education loans of those students apprehended in the illegal rally. A lesson must be given to those witty students.

We are a civilised country and surely in any civilised countries, there are laws and regulation that must be followed by every citizen in that country. Even the civilised USA have the Patriot Act.

So, do not criticise us when you have a more barbarous law. You are only doing it to safeguard America from terrorists and Malaysia is doing it to safeguard the majority of the people from chaos.

At least, we do not torture those caught in Guantanamo Bay. And those released from I.S.A. turns out to be plumper than before they were out of jail. So, those who thinks that they want to rest in jail and get 3 free meals a day, just join the Bersih rally. I am sure you will experience a more stress free life in jail.

Just look at Anwar Ibrahim. He is well rested enough that he can screw a "China Doll" with so much gusto.

The human rights of the majority is at stake and more important than that of the minority who wants to seize the power from the rightful government via using a violent way by creating chaos in the country.

I too am looking forward to be caught and resting in jail for some jolly good time when I join Perkasa in the rally which had been told not being given the police permit.

But before I am being dragged to jail, I do have to bash open some head until the brains spill out. I am so looking forward to it and will hit people gleefully.

Don't be a goat

It's a bit ironic when the 30 members of Parti Sosialis Malaysia which had been apprehended by the authorities where caught with red t-shirts, bearing pictures of past Parti Komunis Malaya (PKM) leaders including Chin Peng, Abdullah CD, Rashid Maidin and Suriani Abdullah were found with them.

Hence, the denial by PSM secretary-general, S. Arutchelvan about the use of Section 122 of the Penal Code for waging war against the King by its 30 members who had been arrested in Penang is a just move.

If those people weren't involved with communism, why would they be with those items which once and for all prove that they are communists? And why make a lame excuse of the authorities are only making them scapegoats for the illegal rally planned by Bersih 2.0?

If you are not a goat, then don't act like one.

The arrest was not planned but those PSM members were the ones who are planning to jeopardise the national security of the nation.

Surely motherfuckers who are out to create chaos in our beloved country who had been peaceful are the pawn by unseen hands who would so love to see this country to be in chaos or suffer another racial riot just like the 13th May 1969 riot???

Meanwhile. the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) had proven themselves to be goats as well.

Surely it is the right of the people to assemble and to express their views in a peaceful manner. But we had seen what had happened during the first illegal rally of Bersih 1.0 and surely what had occured then, will happen again this coming 9th July 2011.

If it's the Bersih's goats rights to assemble peacefully, then Perkasa and Pemuda UMNO has the right to assemble peacefully as well, doesn't they?

The main funding for the proposed rally had been reported to be from foreign NGOs which means this is clearly the work of hidden hands so that chaos will ensue so that what had happened in Libya will occur here as well.

NATO will then come in with the make-believe reason of liberating Malaysians from the chaos that had happened.

Since the goats are so determine to rally, people who loves to eat goat meat can rally too because goat meat taste so good when they are cooked!

Bernama reported that 16 men had been arrested around Shah Alam, Gombak, Klang North and the latest arrest involving 8 people who were arrested in Taman Kosas in Ampang.

In total, 16 men believed to be inciting the public to join the illegal assembly that will be held on 9th July by Bersih.

All those arrested were detained under Section 27 (5) of the Police Act for organising an illegal assembly, were later released on police bail, Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah, Selangor police chief informed.

Reporters were informed that among the incitements were wearing and selling yellow T-shirts.

The public had been warned not to attend the illegal assembly as it would jeopardise the safety of the public and will cause traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, the illegal assembly planned by Bersih this 9th July had raised concerns of the Home Minister, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein who said that it has a hidden agenda.

He also said that the police had been instructed to discharge their duties professionally since the development was evident of late and could jeopardise peace and lead to chaos in the country.

Throughout the country, 30 individuals had been arrested over the planned assembly in Penang and Johor.

On Saturday, 31 people were arrested after Penang police found 28 T-shirts with images of the banned PKM leaders and PSM and flyers that called on the people to bring change to national politics on a bus they were travelling in.

PSM general secretary S. Arutchelvan clarified that their Udahlah tu...Bersaralah!! flyers were meant for their roadshow as a run up for the coming election and had nothing to do with Bersih 2.0.

I don't believe a damn thing that is uttered by that pariah because even the Malay saying said "Jika jumpa keling dan ular, jangan dipukul ular, pukul keling tu dulu".

If the saying does not have some truths in it due to the past experiences of those who had been stabbed in the back by a pariah, surely it would not arise.

Perkasa will cancel if illegal rally on July 9 is called off

KUALA LUMPUR: Perkasa will cancel its planned rally if the Opposition-initiated Bersih rally on July 9 is called off, its president Datuk Ibrahim Ali said Monday.

He said Perkasa's rally was to show that not all Malaysians supported the Bersih rally.

Ibrahim also urged the police to take whatever action within the confines of the law to stop the organisers from going ahead with the July 9 rally.

He was speaking to reporters after giving his statement at the Dang Wangi police station, where he arrived at noon.

He left the station at 1.45pm.

Bersih is not an NGO or free from any political influence as we can see that previously in the Bersih 1.0 rally in 2007, the majority of those who turned out for the rally are actually
PAS members.

However, the question is where are the DAP and PKR members? Why is it only PAS members are making a fool of themselves, since they are certainly fools for being used by
the communist elements of Malaysia even though the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) had been disband.

Even PAS had (refer Harakah daily) urged its members to go to the illegal rally that will be held on this coming 9th July 2011.

However, in the news last night, Ambiga had confirmed that Bersih will go on with it's plan of holding the illegal demonstration.

In retaliation, Datuk Ibrahim Ali also stressed that he could not stop Perkasa members to go for a demonstration too so that the world will know that not all Malaysians supports Bersih.

PM: Organisers will be held responsible if there is chaos at rally

KUALA LUMPUR: The organisers of the July 9 rally will be held responsible if the march should result in chaos, warned Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Najib said the rally was not about wanting to send a memorandum to the King or about flaws within the country's election rules but about the Opposition wanting to wrest back the political momentum regained by Barisan Nasional.

“Do not create chaos just because you want power. If the country is in chaos, then you will be held responsible,” he said during the opening of PPP's 58th annual general assembly at Putra World Trade Centre here yesterday.

The Bersih 2.0 rally on July 9 attempts to gather people on a march to Istana Negara to hand over a memorandum on electoral reforms.

Both Umno Youth and Perkasa had since announced that they would hold rallies of their own on that day. None of them have received police permit for any gathering.

Najib said it was irresponsible for certain groups to create chaos just to gain power, pointing out that claims of irregularities in election rules and electoral roll did not make sense when the Opposition was in power in four states.

“Barisan does not manipulate the election. If we do, why should we want to lose four states to the Opposition?

“We do not want to win elections based on manipulation. We want to win because the rakyat support and trust us,” he said.

Najib also challenged the Opposition to fight it out with Barisan in a general election instead of holding street demonstrations, which would only result in problems.

“If you have guts, then fight us during an election and not this way. Only those with no guts will hold demonstrations,” he said.

In his speech, PPP president Datuk Seri M. Kayveas criticised Bersih 2.0 organisers, saying that street demonstrations were not part of Malaysian culture and that it would only cause instability.

“Why must the rally organisers drag the innocent public into their cause? Do they really consider the public's safety and peace when they plan a demonstration?

The opposition who is the real culprit behind the proposed Bersih illegal rally are not actually keeping to their words of upholding democracy when they are inciting their followers to cause the downfall of the Federal Government via the illegal demonstration.

The flyers of those apprehended by the police yesterday read: “If the people of Arab nations were successful in toppling the autocratic regimes that had ruled for decades, it is not impossible for Malaysians to demand for political changes in our country."

They are actually not democratic at all because they would rather create chaos in the country rather than waiting for the General Election which is just around the corner.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had this to say about what is planned by Bersih.

“If we could manipulate elections, all the states would be ruled by the Barisan Nasional (BN). We are not people who manipulate elections.

“We do not want to be in power without the support of the people. That is Barisan Nasional,” he said when opening the People’s Progressive Party’s 58th general assembly on June 26th 2011.

“If you really have guts, get in the ring. If you don’t have guts…what can I do, do it in the streets and be prepared to face the consequences,” he said.

Rahim said the red T-shirts carried the images of PKM’s top leaders. The other T-shirts, found in the bus’ luggage compartment, had the slogans “Serangan Neo- Liberal Rakyat Terus Sengsara” (Neo-liberal attack the people continue to suffer) and “Anti-Capi - talism”.

Rahim said police had taken seriously the group’s alleged attempt to cause trouble at the Bersih 2.0 rally, scheduled to be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 9.

Asked to explain such stern classification used against the group, he said it was due to the seizure of the PSM flyers containing provocative m e s s a g e s.

The flyers read: “If the people of Arab nations were successful in toppling the autocratic regimes that had ruled for decades, it is not impossible for Malaysians to demand for political changes in our countr y.

“We have been suffering enough for the past 54 years under one-party rule. It is time for change.” “We view these messages seriously as they may pose a threat to national secur ity,” Rahim said at a press conference at the Seberang Perai Utara district police headquarters in Bertam here yesterday.

Out of the 31 people arrested, aged between 16 and 64 years, 17 were male and 14 female.

Except for the minor, all 30 detainees were presented at the Butterworth magistrate’s court for remand proceedings yesterday.

The group was stopped at the Sungai Dua toll plaza in Butterworth while travelling from Sungai Petani in Kedah to Penang island.

Police stopped the bus after receiving a tip-off that the group was carrying weapons and materials inciting the people to join the Bersih 2.0 rally.

Police also seized PSM flags, 600 Bersih 2.0 rally flyers and more than 6,000 copies of the flyers in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and Tamil.

In Ledangin Johor, police detained 28 passengers of a bus and two women in a lorry on Saturday for possessing printed materials related to the Bersih 2.0 rally.

A statement issued by the Johor Criminal Investigation Department said the 30 people detained included a South Korean woman and a Filipino man in the bus.

A team from the Ledang district police stopped the bus and lorry at Km2, Jalan Paya Mas in Tangkak at 5pm Saturday.

The 30 were released on police bail at 4.05pm yesterday.

State CID spokesperson Assistant Superintendent Mazlan Idris said policemen conducted a search of the bu s’ luggage compartment and found 1,435 pieces of printed paper with “Bersih 2.0” on them.

I would like to applaud the police for taking stern action against the subversive elements in the country.

If those traitors are being investigated under allegedly preparing to wage war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, then they have to be punished severly.

I had written about this over and over again. Our country needs a new Act in which the authorities can charge those who became the agents of the foreign country under "TREASON".

So, a new Act for TREASON had to be legislated soon so that it will be official that the government don't take to Malaysians becoming traitors or foreign agents lightly.

If they want to create chaos in the country and be traitors by becoming the accomplice of the 'hidden hand' which had given a hand in creating the tension and chaos in the Middle East countries then, the government and the authorities have to do whatever it takes to stop them from doing it.

Their irresponsible action will surely create disturbance in the country and they do not care of the majority of the people will suffer because of the actions of the minority who wants to create tension and disorderly in the city.

If we study the root cause of the 13th May 1969 racial riot, this is one of the modus operandi of the communist by deliberately finding an excuse to do things to create racial tension especially in the city.

Malaysia is a democratic country which upholds the rights of the people to vote to choose a government and we don't want any subversive elements to topple the government via undemocratic ways of holding illegal street demonstrations which will surely create chaos and panic in the hearts of the people who lives and works in the city.

Hisham: ISA may be used against organisers

HULU SELANGOR: The Home Ministry has not ruled out the possibility of detaining those involved in the Bersih 2.0 Rally under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein said the ministry would not discriminate when it came to enforcing the law.

"It does not matter if it is Bersih, Perkasa or Umno Youth -- anyone who is found to be a threat to national security can be detained under the ISA," he said yesterday.

"For the time being, other laws can be utilised. We have not reached that level yet. We will monitor the situation," Hishammuddin, who is also the Umno vice-president, said after opening the Hulu Selangor Umno division meeting.

He said the ministry's responsibilities were to ensure the country's state of peace was maintained.

"We cannot allow some quarters to exploit matters that could jeopardise our country's sovereignty."

In Pasir Gudang, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Khaled Nordin reminded undergraduates at institutions of higher learning to refrain from getting involved in illegal assemblies.

He said this when asked on the possibility of undergraduates participating in the planned rally on July 9 in Kuala Lumpur.

"I believe the undergraduates can judge what is right or wrong when it comes to such an activity, because the main purpose the government provides tertiary education is for them to think rationally.

"I hope they do not make the wrong decision by getting involved in the illegal assembly to avoid being trapped in a political game," he said after launching the Attack Pasir Gudang community programme by students of Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka here yesterday.

Sex video authenticated by 2 US experts

The sex video who featured a man resembling Parti Keadilan Rakyat de facto adviser, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had been confirmed by 2 US experts to be authentic and had not been tampered with or superimposed.

This was revealed at the magistrate's court yesterday during the court hearing for the case of the Datuk T trio who pleaded guilty to charges of publicly displaying an obscene video clip last 21st March.

The court ruled that businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and former Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuaib Lazim were both fined RM3,000 and RM1,500 respectively.

Former Malacca chief minister, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik who was charged with abetting the duo was fined RM1,000.

The offence had been committed at Bilik Seri Makmar, Carcosa Seri Negara between 10 am and noon.

The accused had been represented by counsel Zamani Ibrahim, Suhaimi Salleh and Datuk Muhammad Shafee Abdullah respectively.

The court had been presented with the facts of the case in which Computer Science Professor Hany Farid and Professor Lorenzo Torresani of Dartmouth College, New Hamshire, had been responsible in conducting a facial recognition of the man in the video and found it to resemble Anwar.

Considering that they were first time offenders and had voluntarily pleaded guilty at the very first opportunity, Magistrate Aizatul Akmar Maharani meted out the fines.

At press time, the three paid their fines.

Speaking to reporters outside the court, Shafee said Datuk T’s supporters had collected some RM22,000 for the fines. About 100 supporters had gathered at the court with banners.

I am sure that Joe Abdul is an amateur in making videos if we compare them to the 2 US expert witnesses from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, United States who had confirmed that the sex video screened by businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and former Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim was original and had not been tampered with or super imposed.

Computer Science Professor Hany Farid and Assistant Professor Lorenzo Torresani confirmed that the man seen having sex with a woman in the video resembled Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

The analysis done by the experts from Dartmouth College had confirmed the recording was an original from a DVR recorder taken from Shazryl.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Najib was leaving the decision to the public on whether the man in the video clip is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who is currently the opposition leader.

Several MPs including Bayan Baru MP Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohd Hashim, Wangsa Maju MP Wee Choo Keong, Kulim-Bandar Baharu MP Zulkifli Noordin, Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishnan and Pasir Mas MP Datuk Ibrahim Ali had called for the opposition leader to step down to protect the Parliament's sanctity.

Information Communication and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said monitoring by teachers at school and by parents at home was vital to avoid misuse of the Internet for purposes that were wrong or immoral.

"Parents and teachers have a role to play in ensuring that the young do not view undesirable materials or upload them onto their websites as there are existing threats of exposure to pornography, lies and cheating through the Internet.” Rais said this after launching a Wireless Village programme and handing over 1Malaysia computer laptops to 645 secondary school students in the Pekan parliamentary constituency, at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lepar, here, today.

He said the young should best use the Internet to change their way of thinking to become wiser, in tandem with rapid development of the technology itself.

In another development, Rais said the national broadband penetration was expected to reach 60 per cent by the end of this year.

The students and parents of the recipients of the 1Malaysia Netbook should be grateful towards the government for being so generous in giving the laptops to 645 students.

The netbook should be used to improve their knowledge and education when their parents installed the internet at home instead of becoming involved with political parties.

Prove to the government that the move to give free netbooks to students reaps the benefits when the students gained excellent results in their studies and will be able to continue their higher learning education to higher learning institutions locally and abroad.

Students should not get involved with illegal demonstrations as well. They should be concentrating on their studies by going for tuitions or to the library to enhance their knowledge rather than wasting time doing useless things.

The schools must dismiss the students caught going to the Bersih 2.0 illegal demonstrations to teach them a stern lesson that it is not worth it to do that. If you are dismiss from your school, will PAS champion your rights for the education that you deserve?

Chinese students are busy studying in the library that they do not know where the bus station is but the Malay students are busy wasting their time doing crappy things.

For instance, you will not see any Chinese going to the illegal demonstration as proven by the Bersih 1.0 in 2007. Most of the participants are PAS members who had been used by the others in Pakatan Rakyat to do their dirty job.

So, think and don't be used by those who wants to fulfill their dirty agenda to create chaos in the country by using a third party which is by using the unintelligent ones in PAS.

Concentrate in your studies and forget politics. You can always join and be a member of the political party that you like after you graduated and start working.

Bersih's demands in line with Islam: PAS Ulama head

KUALA LUMPUR, Jun 23: The head of PAS's Ulama wing said the electoral reform group Bersih's demands for clean and fair elections were in line with Islam.

In a statement to Harakahdaily, Harun Taib (right) said Islam enjoined Muslims to fight those who betray the people in matters of governance.

“It is obligatory upon every Muslim to support whatever actions, words or stand taken in defence of truth, without taking into account differences in religion, race or political loyalty," said Harun.

According to him, spreading the truth and ensuring that corruption and injustice are eradicated was considered as part of jihad (fighting in the way of God).

“Even if such actions (in defending truth) are spearheaded by non-Muslims, supporting them is obligatory," he added.

His comments come amid remarks by pro-UMNO leaders that the Bersih rally on July 9 was against Islamic values because it was led by a non-Muslim, referring to the coalition's chairperson Ambiga Sreenevasan.

'Muslims must speak up'

On claims that PAS was not consistent in its Islamic ideology, Harun's reply was that the list of failures by UMNO in defending Islam in the country "is too long".

Harun's support for Bersih echoes another statement by former Perlis mufti Asri Zainul Abidin (left), who described the coalition's intentions as "good", and said Islam encouraged participating in a peaceful rally with such intentions.

"It is forbidden for the demonstrators or police to provoke anyone, resulting in riots. The police should realise that the demands are good for the country and not only for the betterment of the people but also the police," said Asri.

Earlier, a Muslim youth empowerment group said silence on the part of Muslims over injustices would only strengthen corrupt despots.

Islamic Renaissance Front director Dr Ahmad Farouk Musa said Muslim history was rife with instances of Islamic scholars speaking up against unjust leaders.

"Many were imprisoned as a result of their criticisms against rulers of their time. We are the inheritors of this tradition, which provides today’s Muslims with a storehouse of democratic ideas," he added, urging Malaysians to attend the Bersih rally.

I am sure that what had been uttered by Harun Taib sound like its coming from a politician and not from an ulama. An ulama will not encourage anyone to attend anything that is illegal and against the law.

I am surprised why the mufti are keeping quiet as a mouse about this issue. They should voice out the truth about what Islam thinks about the Bersih rally in which the participants who will then create chaos and disturbance to the public.

In addition to that, surely the nearby shops will be closed because the owners are afraid that things will get out of hand and their shops will be destroyed due to the unruly behaviour of the Bersih participants.

Haram bertentang nilai sebenar Islam

Menurutnya, jika berlaku pertembungan antara tiga kumpulan pada perhimpunan terbabit tidak mustahil akan berlaku perkara tidak diingini seperti pergaduhan, tuduh menuduh, kerosakan harta benda dan paling dikhuatiri pertumpahan darah.

Yang Dipertua Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (Yadim), Datuk Aziz Jamaludin Mhd Tahir berkata, perhimpunan Bersih 2.0 adalah helah untuk mengheret rakyat ke dalam kancah politik.

“Usaha itu adalah percubaan pemimpin untuk uji pengaruh dan kerana itu sanggup menipu lebih ramai rakyat kononnya, sistem yang pernah memberikan kemenangan kepadanya dulu dan sedikit peluang berkuasa sebagai tidak boleh dipertahankan, ia perlu dirombak dan diberikan jaminan baru sesuai dengan keperluan mereka.

Beliau sifatkan penganjuran yang turut disertai Pakatan Rakyat, badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) dan rakyat itu sebagai satu bentuk ‘anarkisme’ yang berlaku kali kedua dalam negara selepas Bersih pertama pada 2007.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Beware! Avoid sitting on the roads (ways)." the people said, "there is no way out of it as these are our sitting places where we have talks." the Prophet (SAW) said, "If you must sit there, then observe the rights of the way." they asked, "What are the rights of the way?" He said, "they are the lowering of your gazes (on seeing what is illegal to look at), refraining from harming people, returning greetings, advocating good and forbidding evil."

The illegal rally of Bersih 2.0 does not apply for the police permit. The organisers also can find another way to get their message across such as having a close discussion with the Election Commission.

Moreover, the Election Commission had offered to meet up with the Bersih organisers but Bersih refused the offer. This proves that even though there is a peaceful way to solve this problem, the Bersih organisers chooses the illegal way.

Therefore, this proves that the Bersih organiser are politically motivated when most of those who attended Bersih 1.0 in 2007 are PAS members.

Anwar says unfazed by sex video bombshell

SHAH ALAM, June 24 — Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim shrugged off today’s revelation in court that US experts had pointed him out as the man in a recent sex video, maintaining that the entire case was a conspiracy by political adversaries.

The Pakatan Rakyat (PR) de facto leader was a picture of calm when approached by reporters asking for his next course of action, at the sidelines of an economic talk at the Quality Hotel here,

Shrugging, Anwar said he had anticipated the outcome of today’s court proceedings, claiming to be unaffected by it.

“I think it is all pre-arranged. The prosecution would, as you know, ensure they get a light sentence and then they would of course try and use this to make inferences.

“I’ve declared very clearly my innocence so they can use whatever they want, quoting some sources... first they say it was somebody from Korea and now they say it was somebody from the US. They can say whatever. It is just a political attempt to smear me,” he said.

Anwar also claimed that several acquaintances had confirmed with him yesterday that Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Tamby Chik, one of the key protagonists behind the sex video, had met with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak in Parliament yesterday.

“We use the same lift. Quite a number of them spotted him so they cannot deny. We know for a fact that Abdul Rahim was at the PM’s office in Parliament at 11.45am,” he said.

According to Anwar, Abdul Rahim’s meeting with Najib clearly indicated that today’s court proceedings had been planned in advance, and likely handled by the Attorney-General himself.

“That is why I am not even affected by it. This is only a show, to charge them. What is Abdul Rahim’s deal with Najib? This has to be explained,” he said.

Former Malacca chief minister Abdul Rahim, along with businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and former Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim, all of whom make up the “Datuk T” trio, were fined this morning for their involvement in the screening of the sex video at Carcosa Seri Negara Hotel on March 21.

Abdul Rahim was hit with a RM1,000 fine for abetting Shazryl and Shuib, who were fined RM3,000 and RM1,500 respectively.

When asked if he planned on taking action against the trio, Anwar shrugged again and pointed out that he had already lodged a police report on the matter.

“I’ve lodged a report but what action was taken? We all know too well the system that we have here. The only reason why I had to lodge the report although I knew the limitation of the system was because if I didn’t, then they would take that to mean guilt,” he said.

Anwar also admitted that he may now be accused of lodging a false report but said that he would deal with it when it occurs.

He expressed confidence that his supporters would not be swayed by today’s events, adding that most Malaysians were now fully aware of the system.

“And since when do we infer that the authority of morality is left to Abdul Rahim, Shazryl, Shuib or (lawyer Datuk Seri) Shafee Abdullah?” he said.

Shafee had said today that according to a study by experts from the Dartmouth College in the US, it was 99.99 per cent certain that the man in the video is Anwar.

Anwar Ibrahim is a master in deceit and will be cool as a cucumber even when he is lying because he knew that he is a great 'orator' who can persuade any of his supporters to believe whatever lies that he spins up.

He can lie smoothly without even blinking his eyes or looking guilty for lying through his teeth.

Therefore, his hard-core supporters will support him even though they had been shown what Anwar Ibrahim truely is; a sex maniac, a manipulator, a traitor and a sodomiser.

This is a true politician because he has no integrity or honour at all unlike those other politicians embroiled in sex scandals will voluntarily hand over their resignation.

Anwar's claim of conspiracy is getting a little bit stale and the truth is that he is the master conspirator, becoming a foreign agent's spy to sell out Malaysia's sovereignty to foreign power.

We can see that when many foreign leaders came to his aid when he was once again charged with another sodomy charge. Even those gay associations came to his rescue.

Why would gay associations defend someone who is not gay if Anwar is not gay?

For me, surely one would not defend someone who is unlike them because I certainly would not do it. For instance, if I supports UMNO, surely I will not defend Pakatan Rakyat and vice versa.
